Beach Update: If you have been curious about what it's looking like in Gulf Shores, think "normal". Lots of vacationers back, restaurants are open with a few restrictions (driving by you would never know, based on the patio crowds). Water parks and other attractions, including our brand new Zoo are open! Private beaches, like ours, are bustling, but everyone seems to be keeping their distance. Weather is warm and wonderful. We are taking extra care to disinfect our condo carefully between visitors so please excuse the faint smell of bleach!! I guess it's something we all have to get used to, lol. This pint sized delicacy is all over in the surf right now! Pompano is one of our favorite fish of the year to migrate through on the Gulf Beaches. Better still, our condo is located in one of the best stretches of beach for this type of fishing. If you want to come visit, I'll help you with some tips and tricks to nab a few of these for the freezer.

Fishing Report: Trout and flounder are scattered but improving in Little Lagoon. Redfish are in very shallow water along the beach on a light north wind when the water calms and clears. Temps in the 50's here this morning which will signal a much better bite in the coming weeks. Water temp was 80 last weekend...but dropping. Fishing will fire off at around 72-degree water temps.
