Located on John's Island, 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina, Angel Oak is considered the tallest and oldest tree east of the Mississippi River, at 65 feet tall and 300 to 1,500 years old (or more!) according to the various "experts" who obviously don't agree!
