How We Surpassed Glassgow: Transitioning to Electric Stoves in Rural Nepal 🫶💚
Our journey towards eco-friendliness, we've made significant strides in surpassing Glassgow's commissions by addressing emissions in innovative ways. Recognizing the importance of reducing our carbon footprint, we started working on initiatives aimed at benefiting communities and combating climate change simultaneously.
One notable initiative involved transitioning from biomass cooking to electric stoves. By adopting electric stoves, we not only offset emissions but also contribute to the well-being of communities. This transition is particularly impactful in preventing women in kitchens from inhaling harmful smoke emitted by firewood, thus promoting better health outcomes.
While we continue to plant trees and rewild areas as part of our environmental efforts, we've identified the adoption of electric stoves as one of the most effective strategies in our eco-friendly journey. This holistic approach underscores our commitment to creating positive change for both the environment and the communities we serve.
In our commitment to continuous improvement, we pledge to do even more in the days ahead. 🤗
