Have met some amazing, beautiful people lately who have been visiting Lake James this summer! Book your relaxing lake tour today and learn about how our natural lake came about, which Native American tribes hunted here, what led to 1000’s of immigrants from Ft Wayne who traveled by steam locomotive to our lake during summers, why the cottages had nicknames, and why our lake is named after a sea captain who influenced Lincoln’s anti-slavery viewpoints through a book that Lincoln read during his teen years.
