There’s nothing quite like watching your toddler’s face light up when they meet their favorite Disney character! 🐭💖 But those big moments can feel a little overwhelming for little ones. Caroline would be so excited in line but clam up as soon as she got up to speak with the characters. Here are some tips to make it each meet and greet extra magical! 🌈

🎉 1. Help with the Conversation: Characters are there to make the moment special, but sometimes toddlers need a little boost! Encourage them with questions like, “What would you like to tell Mickey?” or “Do you want to ask Belle about her favorite book?” Having a line prepared for each character is my go-to. Want to hear more of my favorite character lines? Feel free to reach out!

🤗 2. Take it Slow: Give them a moment to take it all in. These characters are larger-than-life, so a little time to adjust is totally normal. Watch from a distance first if they’re unsure, then let them decide when they’re ready to get closer. The Country Bears in Frontier Land are great characters to start with because its easy for kids to observe their other interactions.

🍭 3. Have a Comfort Item Handy: If they’re feeling shy, a familiar or favorite plush toy can help ease the nerves. Plus, it gives them something fun to share with their Disney friends! 🧸 Having a stuffed animal is especially fun at the Doc McStuffins meet and greet!
