I flew from Baltimore to Puerto Vallarta to the beautiful Velas Vallarta Resort for a destination wedding that I had the pleasure of planing for one my clients 💍🏝️ From the moment I boarded the plane, a wave of liberation, excitement and truth be told, nervousness washed over me. It was just me, my thoughts, and the open sky. 🌅 I've always traveled with someone, whether it was my family, friends, or husband so this was a new adventure for me!

I discovered a newfound appreciation for my own company. I relished every moment of deciding what to eat, when to sleep, and what adventures to embark on—all on my own terms, without having to consider anyone else's preferences.

Athens: Walking through history in the ancient city of Athens felt like stepping back in time. The Parthenon? Absolutely majestic! And don't even get me started on the delicious local cuisine. Gyros, anyone? 🍴

Santorini: Santorini is every bit as dreamy as you've heard. The white-washed buildings with blue domes overlooking the crystal-clear waters... pure magic. 🌊 And those sunset views? Let's just say they live up to the hype! 🌅

Kauai is the perfect place to visit for anyone looking for a tropical paradise with gorgeous scenery, and endless outdoor activities, and a rich culture.

Here are a few reasons I love Kauai ❤️:
• Natural beauty - Kauai is full of rainforests, waterfalls and crystal clear beaches. There is greenery and beaches everywhere!
• Outdoor activities - Kauai is a great place to get active and enjoy the outdoors. There are opportunities for hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing, and more.
• Relaxing atmosphere - compared to some of the other popular islands in Hawaii, Kauai is one of the best islands to just relax, and connect with loved ones. There is less hustle and bustle on this beautiful island.

• Hindu Monastery - the Kauai’s Hindu Monastery is a beautiful Hindu temple that is open to visitors. You can learn about Hindu culture and see the monks performing their daily rituals. This temple is a beautiful example of Hindu architecture and a great place to learn about the island’s Hindu heritage.
• Napali Coast - the Napali Coast is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. We took a boat (speedboat 😬🥴) tour so we can get a close view of the cliffs, waterfalls and lush valleys. This was probably one of our favorite activities!

Do certain cities hold a special place in your heart?

Mine is Amsterdam ❤️ Over 19 years ago, I sat on my hotel balcony across from these windmills and found out I was pregnant with my rainbow baby. After losing our first baby girl during labor, my husband thought it would be good to leave the house and accompany him on a work trip to Amsterdam.

I fell in love with this city! My favorite thing to do was to ride the canal boats and spend my time strolling the floating flower markets. I visited the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and enjoyed many of the cafes.

Two days before leaving, I was feeling “weird” and thought I’d buy a pregnancy test. Of course, it was written in Dutch! I had never used a test before. I was able to center myself in Amsterdam. To be able to process all of it in this beautiful city was magical!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2023!

I’m not a resolutions kind of girl so I don’t make proclamations of changes. I know life happens and usually throws all those resolutions out the window. However as I reflect on what I want to achieve in the upcoming year, it helps to take along some lessons learned from before.

1) I’m not for everyone. As much as I think I truly provide a valuable service, not everyone sees that value and that’s ok.

2) Learning new things daily is the only way I can enhance client experiences. Attending vendor meetings, traveling to newly built/renovated resorts or meeting with other advisors for brainstorming sessions is the best way to increase my knowledge base.

3) I don’t sell travel. Anyone can click a few buttons and presto…you have a trip. I offer detail oriented service, expertise and comfort knowing someone is there to help in case travel doesn’t go according to plan.

I’m looking forward to servicing current clients, building trust with new ones and growing even more professionally!

I found this wonderful gem of a hotel located in Negril, Jamaica that truly caters to their clientele. A hotel with a room count of only 33 including villas, can be bought out to one party.

This Thanksgiving, they will be hosting an Indian wedding serving only vegetarian Jain food.

The Jain cuisine is completely vegetarian and also excludes root and underground vegetables such as potatoes, onions and garlic. The chef has been working on creating an entire weekend of food for this event.

The chef also went on to explain that they will be working on providing kosher meals for those large events that buy out the hotel.

Traveling through Jamaica with these ladies was amazing! We experienced three different regions (Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios), saw 21 resorts, countless room categories, pools, and spas, meet some fantastic general managers, sales reps, and staff, walked at least 5 miles a day and laughed our way through 6 days 😀

There were some misses, some solid resorts and a few fantastic, unique hotels!
