Excited to say we passed our US Coast Guard mast and rigging inspection. We had to have the mast and rigging completely taken down for inspection and it will be put back up tomorrow. Next step… sea trial with USCG in Bradenton and send inspection reports to Washington DC headquarters.

We are getting closer to being certified to take 12 passengers on our cruises. Office parties, weddings, bridal parties, retirements, birthdays…. or just a group of friends.

From sailing in 75 degree weather, to squalls/waves, to 49 degree weather… after 13 amazing days of exploring South Florida, we are home from our Christmas/New Years adventure.

We could not make the Bahamas due to winds/waves in the Gulfstream, so we changed plans and explored the Keys…. All night sail from Bradenton to the Everglades, two nights at Islamorada, two nights in Miami, Key Largo, Marathon, two nights in Key West, Marco Island, Venice and back home yesterday.

Congratulations to “Crimson Dynasty” for passing her second Certification Inspection. The Coast Guard inspectors said she was “one of the best vessels they’ve seen since doing inspections” and “I wish all the vessels we inspected were this nice”. Wowza !!

We are in the process of getting certified to carry up to 12 passengers on our day and sunset charters. We have several more inspections to get through, so we will keep everyone updated.

What an incredible morning at the St. Pete Saturday Market, then easy an sail to downtown Tampa. Some afternoon happy hour on the boat and off to see the Broadway show “The Choir of Man”. If you get a chance to see the show… it’s incredible. Hilarious, raucous, audience participation… so well worth it. Topped off with late dinner at Columbia Cafe on the Riverwalk.

Thank you everyone for your prayers for Hurricane Idalia. We dodged the bullet on this one… winds only got up to around 30-35 mph with localized flooding.

My condo is fine. Just checked on boat and happy to report no damage or leaks. Storm surge is up 2’ and high tide will add another 2’ around noon today. Winds will settle down around 4 pm today.

Let’s go “Cruise with Crimson Dynasty” while we roll into the Tampa Bay Area for our football game against USF !!

We are beyond excited to offer an amazing experience if you are attending the Alabama vs. USF game in Tampa, Florida…. or just live around the local area.

Our Chapter will be hosting day, sunset and night cruises on Tampa Bay aboard the majestic “Crimson Dynasty” on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Sept. 14-17.

“Crimson Dynasty” is a 48’ Leopard catamaran and has chartered day/sunset cruisers as well as 7-10 day trips in Florida, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.

“Crimson Dynasty” will be downtown at the Tampa Convention Center Marina, right beside the Tampa Riverwalk, and just one block away from the JW Marriott and Amalie Arena.

We WILL NOT conflict with the Tampa Bay Crimson Tide party on Friday night and we encourage everyone to attend their event.

Special Alabama guests MAY be available for certain cruises… details to come. We are awaiting confirmation as their schedules are finalized over the next few weeks. Please check back regularly for updates.

Parking is available for a fee at the Tampa Convention Center.

Great news !! After some amazing changes in my life, God has orchestrated a HUGE blessing by bringing Crimson Dynasty back to Bradenton. She will be in Twin Dolphin Marina in downtown Bradenton.

I leave this week to sail her back home from Ft. Lauderdale. God is SO good !!!
