The Government of Costa Rica recently announced information regarding the use of vaccine certificates within the destination. From December 1, 2021 to January 7, 2022 there will be a transition period where businesses in Costa Rica can admit people without vaccinations provided they operate at 50% capacity. Local businesses, including hotels, will have the ability to decide if they operate at full capacity, therefore requiring proof of vaccination, or at 50% capacity without proof of vaccination.

CDC Issues Orders Operationalizing the President’s Safer, More Stringent International Travel System - Effective November 8, 2021
Non-U.S. citizens who are not immigrants to the United States will be required to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to fly to the United States. There will be very limited exceptions to this vaccination requirement for certain non-U.S. citizens who are not immigrants, including children under the age of 18.

Fully vaccinated air passengers, regardless of citizenship, will continue to be required to show a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test taken no more than three days before they board their flight to the United States. For passengers who are not fully vaccinated, the rules will tighten to require a test taken no more than one day before departing to the United States.

Flying back into the United States? New rules were just announced that will place additional restrictions on unvaccinated travelers and relax restrictions for some fully-vaccinated visitors.

International travelers who entered Colombia should not present a negative PCR test to enter the country. They only have to do their Check-Mig registration 24 hours before their flight at the following link: migracioncolombia.gov.co.

Currently, Colombia has 20 airlines in operation connecting 8 destinations nationwide with 22 countries in the world.

If you are traveling to the interior of the country, you do not need to present your negative PCR test. Nor will it be required to have the information downloaded and filled out in the CoronApp mobile application.

Spain suspended the entry of Colombian travelers for tourism and study purposes to the country.

There are mobility restrictions in some destinations in the country according to the level of contagion and occupation of the Intensive Care Units.

However, since June 8, commercial establishments and other economic activities were reopened in the cities of Bogotá and Medellín, maintaining all biosafety measures (face masks, distancing, hand washing, ventilation), prioritizing outdoor activities and controls capacity.

Mandatory Travel Advisory Form.

Guests arriving into LAX from other countries or states are required to complete a mandatory form acknowledging that they have read and understood California’s travel advisory. Travelers over the age of 16 must submit this form online prior to or upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, or Union Station.

Failure to submit the form is punishable by a fine of up to $500.

Some cities and counties have different guidelines and you should check with the health department at your destination for their specific rules. Turks & Caicos has a new fully-vaccinated requirement for all travelers over 16 years old starting Sept 1, 2021.

Effective 1 September 2021, all visitors must be fully-vaccinated, in addition to all other current requirements. See below for details. The mask, curfew, and business closure requirements have also been extended to 31 October 2021.
