Custom Finish Carpentry Blackthorn Joinery is Malcolm Blasi, a master carpenter and trim expert with over 30 years experience in Residential construction.

He is a former designer/builder of single family homes in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties, now focusing on custom finish carpentry. Specializing in crown molding, Dining Room makeovers, fireplace mantels, custom vanities and cabinets, built-ins, stair rails, interior door replacement, etc. Will, however, entertain any challenging project. In the thick of building 20 table tops for an undisclosed location. Quarter sawn walnut with a 'reclaimed' treatment. To be mounted on artisan built custom iron bases, gun-metal black steel wrapping the tops, and a cavity underneath that will receive sound deadening foam to keep down room noise.

I was asked by a client to come up with a stand to hold a "sign-in" guitar for her son's bar-mitzvah. It needed to spin, so the kids could sign all the way around without picking it up.
Oh. I had 1 day.
And it even returns to face front.
