Morgan employee spotlight: Big shout out to Holly Ackett! She's been with us since high school. (We won't say how long ago that was.) Holly is a cornerstone of Destination Sports. Besides being a senior river guide, trip leader, and river guide training instructor, Holly teaches Wilderness First Aid, Basic First Aid, and CPR classes, and she is the Morgan County Swiftwater Rescue Team Captain and EMT. Holly likes to raft in March and she's quite hilarious, too!

Give your kids and teens the opportunity of Weekly River Rafting & Kayaking Club day camps! They'll get active outdoors, build river navigation skills, meet new friends, and make memories that inspire and last a lifetime.
Club trips run every Tuesday, from the first of June through mid-August. We've got half-day and full-day options. The full-day option includes a hike and a lake paddle trip on alternating Tuesday mornings, and then a river trip in the afternoons.
The half-day option is an afternoon rafting and kayaking river trip.

Employee spotlight: Morgan family style! If you’re checking out rental gear from our store in Morgan on weekends, you’ll likely get to meet this mother/daughter duo, Becki and Gwen Hadley! But sometimes we have to split them up so Becki can guide a raft while Gwen holds down the biz at the store. When we ask for volunteers to come help clean the river, they jump at the opportunity to serve their community! Thank you Hadley girls for being such an awesome part of our team!

We had such a rad group at our weekly youth rafting and kayaking club! Along the way we picked up 12 popped cheap tubes and filled several garbage bags with other people’s trash, that was mostly drink cans and bottles, a few flip flops, and a worm bike. Way to go kids (and river guide parents)!

Guide spotlight, Morgan family style: We are so lucky to have most of the Allen family on staff at Destination Sports! These guys are a cornerstone. They guide, they work in the store and take reservations. They handle gear rental check out and returns, they cook, they clean, and so much more!

Big shout out to our growing team of awesome river guides from Morgan, including these recent Morgan High School graduates Naomi, JJ, Matt and Tyler, and school teachers Becki and Michelle. (There are more guide highlights to come. It’s just a hard group to get all in the same place at the same time.)

River Guide Training on the Weber River starts this Friday, May 12th in Henefer!

This is a great opportunity to learn some new river skills and start gaining experience navigating whitewater rivers!

People sign up for this 6-day course for a variety of reasons. Some want to work as river guides, and some just want to learn for personal reasons, such as scout leaders, moms, and teenagers who want to go on river trips with their friends and family and want to have some idea of what they are doing.

Optional Basic First Aid and CPR certifications are offered as part of the course for an added $65 fee.

It’s going to be a great year to be out on the river!

Rafting Day Camp for youth ages 8-17 will be from June 12th through the 15th.
Junior River Guide Training will be from June 14th through the 17th.
Weekly Youth River Rafting & Kayaking Club will be on Wednesdays at 1:00 from June 7th through August 2nd.
