Beautiful day for a kayak ride with Chip. Look how close we got to one brave turtle. I think they are starting to get used to us hanging out with them.

Chip and I took a little kayak ride around the lake today. I always enjoy seeing the turtles. We were very quiet, but most still jumped off the log. One brave turtle stayed on the log the whole time we were there.

The baby geese have turned into awkward teenagers. They lost one, down to five now. Not the least bit scared of me. I was just on the other side of the fence, and they hardly even noticed me.

Bob and I worked very hard in Fall of 2020 to remove our very old dock. What a project. Bob wanted to do it before his scheduled knee replacement surgery, so you can imagine the pain he endured during this project Just one hospital visit (mine) resulted, so I think we did pretty good. It was a little dangerous at times.
Bob's friend Brian brought over his tractor to help us haul out the huge logs (now placed around the beach to sit on). We originally planned to replace the dock, and even left a section of the old ramp to add on to. However, we love how the beach area is now so open and beautiful, and our next door neighbor has kindly said we can use her dock whenever we want. Also, we access our kayaks from the beach (not the dock), so we have decided not to replace the dock at this time.
