Always love coming to Chicago and taking in a museum. Besides the obvious Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago and Field museum one of my favorite is the unsung Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures. Absolutely fascinating museum and just down the street from the Frank Lloyd Wright house so make it a two for one stop visit.

The wind in Iceland is no joke. Ended cutting sightseeing short yesterday but still been a successful trip. Saw lots of northern light on Friday, a few on Saturday and did the golden circle. Several more observations. Careful getting gas, had a $200 hold put on my debit card card at one station. Iceland isn’t as gluten friendly as they make you believe. Yes, there are gluten free options but not as many as Madrid or Seville and have yet to find one that’s 100% dedicated gluten free.

In Iceland for Vacation and several observations.
1. It’s expensive. Cheapest meal we’ve eaten was $42, most expensive was $150 and that doesn’t include drinks.
2. Don’t believe the weather. They may predict 40 but it’s barely gotten over freezing and the wind is no joke. Expect wind chills in the teens and 20s
3. The roads are narrow. In some places about 1 1/2 car width and can be intimidating especially when there’s little to no shoulder and a steep drop off. The Golden Circle was better, they were full sized lanes but you have to focus on driving and not get caught up in gawking.

More to come!

I’m Kauai and we ate at The Greenery Cafe for lunch which is an organic cafe with gluten free options. The Rosemary chicken wrap was probably one of the best wraps I’ve ever had and it was enought for 2 meals to boot. Highly recommend this place if your in Lihue.

Welcome to The Greenery Cafe. Serving Hearty, Healthy, Soul food that is locally sourced and organic.

Another adventure in the books. Did an Alaskan Cruise with Royal Caribbean. Visited Sitka, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria BC as well as spending some time in Seattle and Tacoma. Pictures to follow.

Las Vegas, NV in November. Everyone goes for the gambling in Vegas but there’s so much more to it. Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire State park were spectacular and both within an hour of Vegas.

Was in Spain in March. Spend a lot of time in Madrid, Segovia and Seville and loved it so much we can’t wait to go back.

Part of the fun of traveling is experiencing different cuisines. If your in Lansing, Michigan Naing Myanmar Family Restaurant is an absolute must visit. Very authentic, family run business that specializes in Burmese, Malaysian and Thai food. This place has 4.9 stars out of 5 and for good reason. The flavors just pop out and the portions are generous. Highly recommended!
