FINALLY !! Royal Caribbean is about to complete it's FIRST cruise since March! The QUANTUM of the SEAS will arrive back from a 4 day sailing tomorrow. With @ 3,000 passengers and crew onboard, it is a test of the new Covid protocols put into place to sail safely . Other ships have been sailing since August 15 using these protocols with NO covid reports. We are getting close to SAFE US ops again!

Don't forget ... all inclusives ARE open in the Caribbean and Mexico with amazing success. As with the cruises, occupancy is at 50-60% so it's a great opportunity to have space to spread out. The new HVAC systems in place at the resorts meet/exceed CDC criteria while the cleaning process has gone from 45 minutes per room to 2-3 HOURS! The best news is that the resorts are NOT reporting virus issues... Cancun was the first destination in the Americas certified by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) as a Safe Destination. In the Caribbean, thanks to the drop in cases of Coronavirus in Cancun and general in the Riviera Maya, the government decided to re open the Mayan ruins. The iconic Mexican wonder, Chichen Itza is now open! Cozumel reopened for tourism on June 8th, after being closed for two months to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and has been certified as a Safe Travels destination by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

We are finally getting closer to "REVENGE TRAVEL"! The major cruise lines have begun to prep ships for the restart in early 2021. No ..it's not biz as usual but the groundwork begun in Europe in August has given the lines the protocols needed for safe travel. The test cruises will start to insure that the protocols work as intended. Expect ships to sail 50% -60% occupancy at first to give plenty of elbow room with max cruise of 4 days going to private islands owned by the cruise line. Buffets will not disappear but be "assisted" versus free flow. ALL passengers will have a Covid test at the port to insure no one boards with an issue. Possible mid cruise testing as well as temp checks. Stay tuned for major updates as the cruise lines release the new cruise parameters. The good news is that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people are volunteering for the test cruises! It's not normal yet but we will get there !
