when you’re looking for your next trip activity or excursion, book ahead and read the reviews! Don’t wait until the last minute and don’t book with someone you meet on the beach. For your safety, go with a vendor that background checks their people and that has good (verifiable) reviews. We have booked with both Get Your Guide and Viator and had great experiences in multiple destinations. What’s your favorite trip activity that you’ve done?

New year, time to check those passports! I know I need to renew my daughter’s (kids passports only last 5 years). Pro-tip, even if your passport isn’t expired yet, it might not be good for travel. Some destinations require your passport to still be valid 6 months after your travel end date. So if you have a July vacation planned, that passport needs to last until at least January 2026. Don’t put yourself in a travel emergency. Check those dates today!

This dog is now 1 year old. Honestly shocking that we’ve all made it this far. She has big puppy energy. She has absolutely zero chill about her. Maybe one day she will be better trained and she can meet people. Today is not that day. Happy Birthday Sophie.

Never in my life have I cracked a double yolk egg! Odd this a sign of good thoughts to come? Should I run out and buy a lottery ticket? Can’t. Too tired. I’ve been in the kitchen all day. I’ve made: dressing, sweet potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, turkey gravy, and pumpkin bars. We are brining the turkey. What have you been cooking today? And how many times have you washed the same pot over and over?

Dessert and Fireworks party

We tried this experience for the first time and were pretty happy with the result. Not fighting crowds to watch fireworks is a great splurge.

Here are just a few of the pictures from our day at Magic Kingdom. We did a lot! It was our first time riding Tron and the new Tiana’s Bayou adventure. Plus, in all the times we’ve been to Disney, the train was never running until this time! It was nice to take a break from walking and take the train to our next location.
