These pictures popped up in my history the other day and I was reminded of what an amazing experience we had cruising with ! Everything was fantastic, top to bottom. The food was delicious (and available all the time) the drinks were strong (and not expensive) and the ship was incredibly well appointed. Everything was thought out to the very last detail. When it’s time for your next girls trip, Treat. Yo. Self!

? Maybe it’s not a fun fact, but a useful one. If you ever lose your drivers license while traveling domestically, you may still be able to fly! This info is directly from the TSA website. They do caution that you need to allow more time to clear the additional security screening. So, if this ever happens to you - don’t panic. Arrive early to the airport, stay calm, and be kind. TSA is just trying to keep everyone safe.

I am not here to tell you that your whole Hawaiian vacation should be spent at Aulani. But I am here to tell you that Aulani is an amazing part of a vacation to Oahu. The resort suits on the very calm coves of Ko’Olina where you can feel at ease with your kids in the water. They have a man made reef that you can practice snorkeling in. They have a lazy river, slides, scavenger hunt, great food, and yes Disney characters. Honestly, vacationing with Disney is not always about Mickey - it’s really about a level of service. When I’m on vacation, I want that high level of service. When we went to Hawaii we spent half our time in Waikiki and half of our time at Aulani and I don’t regret a moment of either part. If you’re thinking of Hawaii, I would love to share my experience with you!

Many cabins on cruise ships are short of outlets to charge all your devices. Keep your family charged up by bringing an outlet extender multiplug. Careful though! Power strips are usually not allowed. It’s important to know your cruise’s policies before you pack. Need help? Ask your travel agent!!

I love Animal Kingdom . I think it is my favorite park. Fantastic shows, great food, animals everywhere, the safari, the rides, the animation experience - it has everything I want but it’s still manageable. I don’t leave feeling like I missed half the park, and yet I don’t feel rushed while I’m there. Plus, the theming is amazing. It has the best theming of all the parks IMO. Don’t sleep on this gem!

So there we were at Epcot, Disney bounding again. At least Josie and I were. Can you guess who we’re channeling?? Also, we did the fireworks dinner package at Rose & Crown where I discovered that I love a Scotch egg! Who knew?

I feel like I’m doing advanced calculus trying to figure out the junior high schedule and making sure that everyone knows where they’re supposed to be. Life is easier when they just give you step by step instructions. See this drawing? Step by step instructions. P.S. this is one of my favorite experiences at Disney and it’s free!!

to beautiful Waikiki beach. The water at this beach is somehow warmer than the other beaches we visited in Oahu. The sunsets cannot be beaten. Hawaii is a place unlike any other. And yes, I can help you book your Hawaiian vacation!

Today’s is all about the mighty ziplock bag. I never go on a trip without a few of these tucked away. First, I use them for any liquids going in my luggage, just in case they spill. Second, I pack extras in case I have anything wet on the way home (think a swimsuit) that doesn’t have time to dry or before being packed to go home. Plus, if you’re headed to a theme park and are going on a water ride, you can use the ziplock to keep your phone, wallet, and anything else dry on the ride. Ziplock: don’t leave home without them.

Some of the delicious food we sampled . I anyways recommend taking at least one day to explore at Disney Springs. So many shops, so much great food. This Dole Whip sampler was amazing, the churro Josie got was just massive, and our dinner was delicious! What’s your favorite spot at Disney Springs?

Since we had to be at Disney Springs early for cake decorating, my husband was able to get in line early for and it did not disappoint! The banana bread chocolate chip cookie was beyond amazing. It was definitely a bite that stops you in your tracks and makes you take a seat. It’s that good. 10/10 would recommend.

We got to go on the Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge and we had the best time! This experience is available to anyone, you don’t have to stay at Animal Kingdom to do it, but you do need a reservation. We went on a night tour of the savanna with a small group (only 12 people) so we were able to ask tons of questions. The keepers were our guides and they had lots of stories from working with the animals. Apparently ostriches are not very bright. This tour books up fast, so reservations should be made as early as possible. Night vision monoculars are provided for the tour!

This is one of my favorite things that we did on our Disney trip! We took a couple of days off from the parks so that wet could enjoy our resort and do some of the extras that Disney has to offer. You can learn to decorate your own Mickey or Minnie cake at in ! We didn’t have to bake the cake ourselves, that was already done along with the frosting. We glazed it, paired the ears, cut out the dots, decorated the bow, and put it all together. I think we did a pretty good job.
