Every achievement over the past seven decades is a testament to the dedication, skill, and spirit of the incredible team here in Decatur. To all our past, present, and future team members, thank you. Your hard work and commitment are the foundation of everything we’ve built and will continue to build together.

Congratulations to Dave Fornear on his retirement after an incredible 51 years of dedicated service at Caterpillar Decatur!

From welding and assembly to material handling, Dave’s journey has taken him through nearly every corner of our campus. His contributions have left a lasting mark on our facility, and his legacy will be felt for years to come.

Last week, we celebrated the newest graduates from Caterpillar Decatur’s Career Pathways Program—a year-long journey where high school seniors gain real-world experience in manufacturing. We’re excited to welcome seven of these talented students as full-time team members!

This is a proud moment for the graduates and a meaningful milestone for us as we continue building the next generation of highly engaged, talented manufacturing leaders.

Last weekend, we hosted a Fabrication Open House to honor our incredible welding team. It was a joy to see our team members bring their families to explore their workspaces, try on gear, and experience the weld simulator firsthand.
