What is the one Quick Service or Table Service restaurant that you have not experienced in Magic Kingdom that you would love to try one day?

I'll go first: Casey's Corner

I can't explain it, but the idea of sitting in the Hub Grass eating a Chili Cheese Dog just makes me so happy!

Well the groundhog said we are going to have six more weeks of winter, but who’s ready for spring? 🌸

It's time for my FAVORITE EPCOT FESTIVAL!

For horticulture and festival teams at Walt Disney World Resort, the season of renewal is already here as crews work behind the scenes to prepare for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. 🌷🌹🌺🌼

This year’s festival runs March 2 to July 4 – a total of 125 days! – and features a plethora of colorful blooms, good tunes, fragrant scents and fresh flavors.

Disney Character topiaries offer a perfect backdrop for springtime photos with family and friends. A new main entrance display will feature Goofy with a birthday cake celebrating the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary.

Horticulture teams are also designing, planting and shaping new topiaries of the Seven Dwarfs to accompany Snow White near the Germany pavilion in World Showcase. And returning this year are Lumiere and Cogsworth topiaries in the France pavilion as well as Pumbaa and Timon topiaries near Imagination!

On the bridge to World Showcase, Guests can enjoy the sights and scents of spring at a new fragrant garden presented by Scentsy. Surrounded by vibrant butterfly topiaries, Guests will be invited to follow their noses to six scent stations—floral, fruity, citrus, spice, woods and fresh—to form lasting memories with the help of unforgettable aromas.

The Health Full Trail presented by AdventHealth offers a fun way for families to play and learn how to stay healthy, and Outdoor Escapes Presented by OFF!® Repellents lets Guests enjoy a moment of relaxation, while learning how easy it is to create an outdoor escape of their own. Bambi’s Butterfly House enchants Guests with a kaleidoscope of butterflies showing off their extraordinary beauty and colors.

The Garden Rocks Concert Series returns to the festival this year, featuring internationally recognized artists on the America Gardens Theatre stage Friday through Monday; local bands will rock the house Tuesday through Thursday.

Artists recently added to the lineup include Gospel singer CeCe Winans and Tommy DeCarlo, singer of the band Boston. They’ll join returning favorites such as The Guess Who, Rick Springfield and Kool & The Gang, as well as popular Latin hitmakers Melina León and Claudia Leitte. For Friday through Monday concerts, Guests can make a reservation for a Garden Rocks Dining Package by visiting FreshEPCOT.com.

Outdoor activities can work up an appetite, and the festival’s 18 Outdoor Kitchens serve up fresh menus, seasonal produce and refreshing beverages to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Guests can stop at EPCOT Farmers Feast, since its menu options rotate throughout the festival. Other new mouthwatering menu items can be found at The Citrus Blossom, Magnolia Terrace and Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina, among others. Keep an eye out for a festival foodie guide coming in late February!

Guests can also explore EPCOT with the Garden Graze, a fun food stroll highlighting five delicious sweet and savory offerings listed in the Festival Passport. Complete the graze to receive a special treat!

Finally, Guests can bring festival memories home with garden-inspired merchandise collections featuring vibrant apparel, drinkware, garden tools and much more. This season, collections will feature Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Orange Bird, Figment and Spike the Bee.

To experience the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, Guests must have both valid admission and a park reservation for EPCOT on the same date. Keep checking back with us here for more information, and Guests can always head over to TasteEPCOT.com for all the festival details.

THE FESTIVAL OF FANTASY PARADE IS BACK! 🎉

The beloved Disney “Festival of Fantasy” Parade returns to Magic Kingdom Park beginning March 9 – the anniversary of the debut of the parade in 2014 – winding its way through the park not once, but twice each day!

Dazzling Guests since its debut, the Disney “Festival of Fantasy” Parade features beloved characters from “The Princess and the Frog,” “Tangled,” “Peter Pan” and more bringing their individual stories to life on enchanting floats that look as though the characters themselves had a hand in crafting them. Looming 26 feet above the parade route and 35 feet in length, the fire-breathing Maleficent Dragon float returns just as menacing as ever. There’s no way this show-stopping beauty would be excluded from such a glittering assemblage.

Feb. 2, 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside! As Guests and Cast Members commemorate this incredible, another celebration is on the horizon. Mardi Gras is less than a month away – happening March 1 this year – and there’s no better place to get in the spirit of the celebration than at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. The resorts, which evoke all of the beauty – and fun! – of Louisiana, offer a ton of unique recreation activities, entertainment, and food and beverage. And the best part? Anyone can participate! So laissez les bons temps rouler, or let the good times roll, and try these five ways to get in the spirit of Mardi Gras at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts.

1. Listen to jazz music at S**t Cat’s Club – Lounge
New Orleans has long been considered the birthplace of jazz, so what better place to hear jazz music at Walt Disney World than at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter? Beginning Feb. 4, a group of live musicians will be entertaining Guests at the S**t Cat’s Club – Lounge every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. And Guests can order some delicious food and beverages – like the brand-new Bebop Bloody Mary specialty cocktail and the Oyster Beignet Po Boy! – while listening to those cool cats’ tunes.

2. Eat beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
Beignets have played a part in Mardi Gras celebrations for centuries. Though they haven’t been around at Walt Disney World for quite as long, they’re the quintessential treat for celebrating Mardi Gras here. Find these delectable doughnuts at S**t Cat’s Club – Cafe.

3. Create your own Mardi Gras bicycle parade
No floats? No problem! Families can create their own parade by renting bicycles at both of Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. Guests can take a spin on two wheels or four – surrey bikes are also available at the Riverside Levee Marina. Be sure to wear purple, green and gold to really get in the spirit!

4. Sample savory southern cooking at Boatwright’s Dining Hall
Have a hankering for the flavors of the Louisiana bayou? Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside offers bona fide bites in the Big Easy. From Mardi Gras Fritters – yes, they really have Mardi Gras in the name! – to our famous Boatwright’s Jambalaya, Guests can’t go wrong celebrating with some delicious food.

5. Enjoy the scenery along the Sassagoula River
While experiencing the dulcet tones, vibrant colors and mouthwatering foods of Mardi Gras, Guests might find themselves in need of some quiet time to celebrate. Both of Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts are located along the scenic Sassagoula River. Beginning Feb. 4, horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered along its banks, with views of fragrant magnolias, picturesque Spanish moss, enchanting wildlife and more. Guests can also enjoy a peaceful boat cruise down the Sassagoula River, with service to and from Disney Springs.

We just wrapped up our last day in Walt Disney World and it was a special one for me.

We hit so many rides today, more than any other park.

We rode: The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, The Carousel of Progress, The Tomorrowland Speedway, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Mickey’s Philharmagic.

Another day, another 10 miles down! EPCOT is my favorite park and I could have used another day to do everything I wanted to do!

We ate so much food! I love the outdoor kitchens and I have to say Festival Favorites was my favorite spot this year!

We rode all the rides EXCEPT Mission:
Space. We rode Spaceship Earth, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Living with the Land, Soarin’ (twice), Test Track (twice), the Grand Fiesta Tour, Journey Into the Imaginarion, and Frozen Ever After.

The last two days have been so relaxing! We originally planned to have our pool day on Tuesday and shop today, but Mother Nature needed to remind us to be flexible when in Disney. It stormed and rained very hard yesterday so we switched our days.

Yesterday we went shopping at Disney Springs. We got cupcakes at Sprinkles and ate dinner at Chicken Guy and tried ALL THE SAUCES! My three favorite were the Ranchero, Buttermilk Ranch and the Nashville Hot Honey. We also went to the Disney Outlet which is not on Disney World property but isn’t more than 30 minutes away. It’s my favorite spot to get souvenirs without breaking the bank!

Today was absolutely beautiful! The skies were a beautiful blue and there were barely any clouds in the sky. It was about 85° today.

Flexibility is key when in Disney. If Mother Nature’s plans aren’t the same as yours, throw the rain boots on and jump on some puddles. Your patience will be rewarded.

Tomorrow we’re headed to my favorite park during my favorite festival! EPCOT and the International Flower and Garden Festival!

We had a WILD day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We didn’t make it to the park until right before lunch so we started out at Satu’li Canteen with Cheeseburger Pods, veggie chips, cuties, and the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse.

We became Wilderness Explorers and earned EVERY BADGE in our Wilderness Explorer Handbook which officially makes us SENIOR WILDERNESS EXPLORERS! We learned so much about conservation and what we can do to help make our world a better place to share with our animal friends.

Dinner was at Flame Tree Barbecue. This is one of my favorite money saving tricks that I will go into more detail about when we’re back home in a tips and tricks recap.

We rode Flight of Passage (twice), Na’avi River Journey, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, It’s Tough to be a Bug, and Kilimanjaro Safaris (my favorite!) We closed the park today! We’re over 23,000 steps for the day and we’ll more than likely hit 10 complete miles by the end of the evening.

Our next two days are what I call “rest days.” We won’t be visiting any parks just relaxing by the pool, doing some local off property shopping, and going to Disney Springs in the evening.

It’s been an incredibly busy day that started very early! I was awake at 6:00 a.m. with what can only be described as sheer excitement! I crushed that 7:00 a.m. Rise of the Resistance virtual queue! After that, I couldn’t go back to sleep! Hollywood Studios opened at 9:00 a.m. and we weren’t trying to “Rope Drop” but it happened anyway 🤣

We rode Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway (twice), Slinky Dog Dash (twice), Toy Story Mania, Alien Swirling Saucers, Smuggler’s Run (twice), Star Tours, and Rise of the Resistance which - by far - is THE BEST RIDE in Hollywood Studios, in my opinion.

For breakfast we went to Ronto Roasters and had the Ronto Morning Wrap. It was soooo good! For lunch, we grabbed a Southwest Salad and Mickey Pretzel. Dinner this evening was at Hollywood Brown Derby. We had seared sea scallops and roasted pork belly for an appetizer. Our main course were a kids beef filet with mash potatoes and fresh fruit with raspberry ice and I had the filet mignon with roasted potatoes and green beans. Dessert was a chocolate mousse cake and I had creme brĂťlĂŠe. Sadly, most of the dessert was left on the table because we were so stuffed! Overall The Hollywood Brown Derby was delicious! My little one wrapped up the day with a Blue Milk from the Milk Stand in Batuu.

Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom!

18/04/2021

After we unpacked, grabbed a quick bite to eat and spent some time at the pool, we decided to jump on the Skyliner and take a ride around Walt Disney World - and I have to say... I’m in LOVE! This mode of transportation has streamlined travel to Hollywood Studios and Epcot! We are BIG Skyliner fans over here!

Once we arrived at Pop Century I went to the check-in desk because I had checked-in online but hadn’t received my room number yet. Cast member Elizabeth really came through and gave us a ground level room, right by the pool in our section!

If you’re not familiar with Pop Century, here’s a little detail: It is a value resort and is very family friendly. The resort is sectioned by decade starting with the 1950s. There are 3 pools and a kiddie pool. The room I am in has two queen beds. One bed is a Murphy bed - that when folded up is a table. There is enough room under both beds to store our luggage and the floors are laminate hardwood floors. We have a coffee maker, mini fridge and a safe to store valuables. OH! THE TELEVISION IN OUR ROOM IS BIGGER THAN THE TELEVISION ON MY LIVING ROOM!

This resort is categorized as a value resort but it screams MODERATE RESORT!

These gifts cards are SO adorable! Flower & Garden is my absolute favorite time to visit Epcot! Watch my page for my tips to make the most out of your Epcot visit during Flower & Garden!

What’s the buzz? The Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival has begun! Guests can enjoy searching the World Showcase to find Spike the Bee hiding among the incredible topiaries and fresh, fragrant gardens, and they can also carry him all over Walt Disney World Resort with our two new Disney Gift Card wristlet designs to celebrate the festival! Guests can find these special-edition cards at merchandise locations throughout EPCOT and at EPCOT resort area hotels for the length of the festival, while supplies last.

Our first design depicts Spike bringing flowers to EPCOT to share with a topiary version of our (usually purple) pal Figment! The second features Spike taking the time to smell those beautiful blooms. Both designs come with coordinating coiled wristlets and can be activated with as little as $15. Best of all, Guests can use either of these Disney Gift Cards for practically all things Disney! Yes, that includes the scrumptious eats available at Outdoor Kitchens located on the promenade throughout the festival. So, Guests can load up their mini Disney Gift Card and wear it around their wrist while they explore everything the festival (and Walt Disney World Resort as a whole) has to offer! When it’s time to pay, Guests can simply show the cast member the back of their card so they can scan it. Touch free and easy…there’s no better way to pay!

Disney Gift Cards are reloadable and never expire. Guests can stop by a merchandise or food and beverage location and ask a cast member for assistance. And if they don’t spend it all at the festival, these and all other Disney Gift Cards, can still be used for practically all things Disney from theme park tickets to Mickey merchandise at Disney Destinations nationwide! If Guests want to purchase a traditional or digital Disney Gift Card in advance, they can visit shopdisney.com to select from 60+ designs featuring some of their favorite characters and matching carriers!

FROM DISNEY THIS WEEK!

As we shared earlier this year, we are building on the original story of the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland park and Magic Kingdom Park. We’re adding more humor, wildlife and skipper heart to the classic attraction, and as part of a much larger effort, this updated experience will welcome new characters from around the world.

The enhancements include several new scenes Guests will experience along the river, all interconnected. Our world-famous skippers will continue to share the unique adventure and interactions Guests expect on the Jungle Cruise.

The new scenes will heighten our skippers’ legendary comedic tone, beginning with a trapped safari party that finds itself up a tree after their journey goes awry. Unexpected scenarios along the way will give the jungle and animals the last laugh!

For those looking to dive deeper, we’re also expanding the attraction’s backstory, centered around Alberta Falls, granddaughter of world-renowned Dr. Albert Falls, as the proprietor of the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd.

Jungle Cruise fans might be familiar with her name; however, wouldn’t you know it, we recently uncovered a copy of an interview with Alberta Falls that was featured in a 1938 issue of The Daily Gnus about her and the World-Famous Jungle Cruise. We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know her!

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is currently scheduled to welcome Disney Vacation Club Members once again beginning May 2, 2021. During this initial phase, only The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be open for DVC Members. The Hotels of Disneyland Resort, including the rest of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, remain closed.

While Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park currently remain closed for normal operations, Downtown Disney District has reopened with health and safety measures, and offers a variety of shopping and dining experiences. During the initial reopening period, most resort dining, amenities, activities and services will be modified, limited in capacity or unavailable based on physical distancing and health guidelines.

Okay guys! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted on this page but I felt like promoting any type travel during a global pandemic was irresponsible.

Now that the numbers are decreasing and travel is becoming safer, let’s start talking about what brought us all here in the first place! DISNEY!

The parks in Disneyland in Anaheim, California arent open yet, but Walt Disney World partially reopened mid-summer. So much has changed with their rules, policies, and experiences so it you’re looking for guidance or are considering a trip in the near future, stay tuned to my page! I’m happy to help plan and explain all the information available to me, to you!

We are counting down the days until Disney Villains After Hours returns to Magic Kingdom Park for 24 select nights starting February 7, 2020.

Based on the popularity of Maleficent dragon’s journey through the park, we are enhancing the experience to include even more villainous fun. New this year, the Villains’ Cursed Caravan will join Maleficent the dragon as she creeps through the park twice nightly. The wicked procession will feature Gaston, Oogie Boogie, Cruella DeVil, Captain Hook and more! As a reminder, this event does not include character greetings.

There is more villainous action at the event of course!

Hades and Meg from “Hercules” will set the castle stage ablaze in “Villains Unite the Night,” featuring appearances by Jafar, The Queen, Dr. Facilier and Maleficent.

During this sinister soiree, guests can dance the night away as a party DJ spins monstrous music on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt stage.

Guests can also experience the surprising, villain-inspired enhancements at Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain.

As they make their way through each land, guests can strike a pose as they come across sharable photo opportunities scattered throughout the park.

Disney Villains After Hours also includes wickedly good food and beverage selections. A few of the new treats this year are Painting the Roses Red (Available at Cheshire Café), a cheesecake mousse with raspberry gelée, red cocoa butter, and buttercream leaves; Body Language (Available at Storybook Treats), a cookies and cream mousse with chocolate cake, glaçage, and meringue tentacles garnished with a chocolate shell; and Five Dozen Eggs Slush (Available at Gaston’s Tavern). A frozen custard with brown sugar topped with whipped cream and garnished with a cinnamon stick. Be sure to check back on Disney Parks Blog for the Foodie Guide to Disney Villain After Hours – a complete listing of all the delicious food and beverage offerings!

Across the park guests can enjoy access to more than 25 attractions and experiences.

Guests can also purchase new event merchandise, as well as items from a curated collection of the best Disney villain merchandise available.

Event tickets allow entry as early as 7 p.m., which gives you time to enjoy fireworks before heading off to the attractions.

Select complimentary snacks and beverages are also included in the cost of admission.
