We love a good day in Chicago on the magnificent mile! The best hotel in my opinion is the Hilton because it has extra cushy beds and great views, and fairly convenient parking.

Friendly reminder to schedule all your PTO out to the end of the year! Use it or lose it people (me included). At the same time, now is the best time to start booking flights for spring of 2024. Three to six months out is always the best time to book airlines.

St. Audoen’s is a 13th century church in Ireland of Norman design. It’s still used to this day and you cna tour the lovely museum for free as well as gaze at the nonused portion.

The food of Ireland. The national specialty for lunch/dinner is of course fish and chips or shrimp and chips. My favorite off traditional menus was roasted chicken with spring veggies. For dessert take in a pastry shop or one if the awesome ice ream sundae stores.

Pictured today is a photo from my Dad's bucket list. We have this dream of eating sacher tortes and swigging fancy coffee in Austria. It'll come true soon. Vienna is a city where you can find classical live music any day of the week, gourmet pastries and cozy nooks for discussions, and glorious mid 18th century architecture. They have one of the largest public libraries. Add it to your next trip! #2023

SO: My photos turned out horrible because I didn't have the equipment I needed to deal with the level of light reflecting off the ocean, but--these are the flamingos I traveled thousands of miles to see! I love safaris and being a biologist with field ecology training I LOVE going to look for animals. Some sections of the Caribbean have flocks of flamingos so now need to go to Africa to see these bad boys. #2023

I'm one of those people who travel a lot solo though. I'd say don't let cruises discourage you from going alone and seeing the world. When traveling solo do some research. Some cruises have single, studio rooms for solo travelers. Some cruises have promotional waivers of single supplements and you can get out of it. Some cruises are somewhere in the middle and you pay more than going alone but less than the whole cabin 2 person price. Booking during sale windows such as wave season (January-March) helps you get the highest chance of promotional waivers. They aren't on ever itinerary and you can ask each year what is on sale for the year or next year. #2023

Miami shopping never gets old. I love the high end stores, the tropical fashions, the Italian restaurants with great amounts of melty cheese. Fellow independent ladies, you don't need anyone to realize your travel dreams but you. 6 years ago I took the plunge and moved into job where I was traveling 20 days a month. I then decided I love inspiring others to travel and became an entrepreneur to spread the love. If I can do anything, I want you to know you CAN do it--the travel. If you're interested in getting on the road and have found it hard to navigate the world of single supplements, a travel agent can help you navigate that. We frequently have deals where single supplement is waived. We keep lists of which groups, tours, cruises don't have one. If you aren't going with a group, tour, or cruise you can also plan an "independent tour" like backpackers do where it's just you and then single supplement isn't a worry. One of my favorite ways to see Miami as a newbie is the Hop on Hop off bus. It leaves from Senor Frogs in South Beach. Check out the sunset tour and see Miami after dark, cruising through Bayside, Brickle, Calle Ocho and returning to the walkable restaurant district where you can catch some more late night appetizers and music. It's easy to navigate there if you are staying in Miami beach because you can take the free trolley to near the pickup point, or you can uber. Traffic is gridlock on Miami Beach though so I generally don't suggest renting a car, and keep this in mind if you are ubering because... you will be in the uber forever. The closer you get to South Beach the worse it gest. I lived in Miami Beach for about 9 months in 2018-2019 so if you want more tips, tricks, comment below!

When I used to live in Miami I had the dearest client who used to feed us. Oh lord I can remember the joys of fresh orange juice and one of these with some Cafecito at 2pm. If you're a chocoholic like me Chocolate Fashion over by Coral Gables sells cannelles and chocolate mousse cakes in single servings that are out of this world-I mean truly, because I've tried a lot of chocolate in my day. If you're looking to spruce up some client gifts this neve disappoints. If you want to know more places to eat in Miami area and you're a foodie comment below.

It's the time of year where we dream of a tropical vacation and I'm stoked (yes I grew up with surfer lingo. Welcome to Cali) to head back to Miami in February 2023. Pictured here is my own personal sunset on Miami beach circa 2019. I used to live in Miami Beach for a bit and it's not only the "party" mentality portrayed in the media. If you head on up to mid-beach or north beach you can reach the quietest family neighborhoods and enjoy a relaxing getaway with turquoise ocean. Wind surfing is common in the area and in my experience the beach is not very wide and has a steep drop off, meaning you don't wade very far out into the water before it gets really deep. Miami holds a special place in my heart and I hope one day you get the chance to see the beautiful palm trees, eat a good Cuban sandwich, avoid the Cafecito that will wake the dead, and the sunsets and seafood.
