In and Out Burger....this is apparently a staple in California, so of course we had to try it while we were there. It amazed me how much business this place did. We got there at 1030am...the kitchen was fully staffed and everyone was crazy busy. And pretty much the entire time we were there....the line was to the door with customers coming in and out. The staff was sooo friendly and took care of the customers. They walked around with Hats for anyone who wanted them and sticker sheets for kids to decorate with while they waited.
Fun fact...to make their cheese fries...they take a basket of fries and drop american cheese on the fries and toss in their warmer....and once melted you have cheese fries.......we might have to see if this works as well as home...let me know if you have tried this =)

Playa Del Mar Beach was the first stop on our Cali Adventure. We stopped here about 9am on our way up to Sequoia National Park. It was a $7 entry fee. The beach was pretty empty this early as it was overcast and temps were cool. The Waves were pretty strong, but we did find some surfers down the beach a ways. On the beach there were tons of fire pits for fires to be made, lots of lifeguard stations, and what looked like a snack shop (wasn't open so we couldn't explore) I assume this is a popular place when the weather is better.
