"Livingston, one word describes how we’re feeling after the films we presented at the Cold Snap Film Festival, grateful.

Thank you for, as always, coming out in support and celebration for our community and each other. After sixteen years of this, 16!, we’re humbled and so very appreciative of this outpouring from our community. We think we’re on to something here, and look forward to more celebration and giving tonight at the Livingston Depot.

Please join us as we raise funds for those less fortunate. Doors open at 5pm, and things start hopping around 6. It’s a free event, but there are numerous opportunities to contribute, including buying a plate of food, or a beer, by bidding on a silent auction item, or buying raffle tickets. Our partners have contributed over $38,000 in donations that we’ll be giving away by the end of the evening.

Join us as we’ll be announcing the film winners of the Audience Choice and the Judge’s Choice. It’s going to be a great night. And again, there’s that word, grateful. And then there’s two more, thank you! We look forward to seeing you tonight!"

Small Business Saturday - Downtown Livingston Passport Event is November 30, 2024. Pick up Passports from Participating Businesses on 11/30/24. Big thanks to Sara from Hens & Chicks for organizing and Explore Livingston Montana for sponsoring the event. The goal is to bring the thousands of folks coming to Livingston for Light Up Livingston to come earlier and shop Downtown and enjoy eateries and bars after the 4-7 pm Depot festival.

Each participating business has different hours but most are open at 10 am, grab a passport at the first business you visit, stop by at least 8 participating shops for stamps and shopping, then leave your passport with your contact info at your final stop. The drawing will be the first of December and each shop will contact the lucky winner of their prize for pick up. FUN TIMES!

This month marks 12 years of financial and editorial independence for Montana Quarterly. We’ve covered the state’s wildlife and water and politics. We’ve bellied up in bars and eateries, run rivers, chased some elk around, and examined the aftermath of bear attacks and murders. We cover its writers and artists and scientists. We take a close look at history – the real kind, not the myth. We publish fiction and book reviews, and try to have some laughs along the way.
