RECENTLY BOOKED: In November I had clients reach out with a unique situation. Their family of five is going to Costa Rica for a month. A MONTH you guys! How incredible is that!?!?!? They rented a house for the entire month of January and asked me to help them book excursions so they could travel around and experience the country. I was so excited to put this together for them! If you have talked travel with me for more than 3 minutes you know my passion for Costa Rica. My husband and I went there on our honeymoon and fell in love with it. I've been dying to go back, so I love when I can live vicariously through my clients. Not only did I book them multiple excursions including a snorkel with dolphins, Arenal Volcano hike, hanging bridges, and a frog, sloth, coffee and chocolate tour, but I was able to book them 2 nights in 2 different hotels as they really wanted a few day/overnight trips to experience different parts of the country and culture. I feel so fortunate this family reached out and asked me to do this for them. Being a travel agent isn't all about booking big, elaborate trips. For me, it's about creating personal experience for each client or situation. I'm looking forward to the updates from this family during their month in Costa Rica.

JUST BOOKED: Got a sweet family of four booked for 4 days and 5 nights at Disney World Resorts in January. While they are on their trip they will be celebrating two birthdays, checking out 4 parks and staying at 2 different properties in order to experience as much as possible. Even though I'm a travel agent, I've only been to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, so I can't wait to hear about Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios when they get back. These clients have been a dream to work with and I can't wait to see where they will let me book them next.

JUST BOOKED: A new client/couple reached out to book their first ever river cruise. They will be doing the Rhine River with 2 days in Paris afterwards, and I couldn't be happier for them. Of all the cruises I have booked, I have booked more Viking than anything else. The service and amenities are top notch and I know they will be in great hands for their first cruise. This is also proof that it's never too early to start planning your spring travel as they just snagged the last room on the ship and they don't even travel for 6 months. JUST BOOKED (and traveled): A 50th birthday took one of my clients/family's to Cabo San Lucas. They traveled home today. I was in touch with them throughout their trip and they said they had the best time. They took a boat ride in a glass bottom boat and enjoyed the All-Inclusive resort on one of the only swimmable beaches in Cabo.
Hurricane Milton caused my other clients to pivot from FL to Cabo, and based off my (current) clients feedback from Cabo, we got this family booked at the same resort. So glad they reached out to me so I could help them change their FL plans. It's been a busy few weeks for Way Maker Travels and I wouldn't want it any other way. JUST BOOKED: While I've been quiet on social media, I've been busy behind the scenes. Just today, four very lucky couples booked a US cruise from Amelia Island FL to Charleston, SC with some amazing stops along the way. They will get out of the freezing March temperatures of the Midwest to enjoy 10 days in the southeast. How fun for this group!

JUST BOOKED: So thankful my clients reached out about planning a trip for them. K and B had flight credits that had to be used, and they were at a complete standstill on where to go. They took my suggestion of Costa Rica and are staying at the most incredible 5-star property. They have been so great to work with as they know what they want and trust me to take all the hassle and headache out of it for them. I will handle all the planning, research, reservations and transportations. All K and B need to do is pack and show up at the airport.

...And the first group is off!!!!! Today is the start of a VERY busy July for me as I have 6 cruises this month. My clients are off to Alaska, and I couldn't be more thrilled as this has been a long time coming for them.

JUST BOOKED: Just booked my clients on a 7-day Alaskan cruise. They will have stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, B.C. They'll be able to see the Glaciers and the Inside Passage as well. My family and I took this identical trip in 2011 and it was incredible! This feedback means the world to me!!! I have clients in Rome right now and I’ve thought about them everyday that they’ve been gone. I checked in with my client today and got this feedback which literally brought tears to my eyes. This client was an absolute dream to work with. She knew exactly what she wanted and asked me to make it happen. If you ask me, we made a great team during the planning process because I love working WITH my clients to create their dream vacation. I love they are having the time of their lives making incredible memories as a family. I couldn’t be happier right now and I feel so honored to have gotten this feedback.

JUST BOOKED: I am always so thankful (and honored) when my clients refer me to their friends and family. It truly means the world to me when I am entrusted to book dream vacations, and I can't believe I get to do this for a living. My clients who booked back in March sent family my way to get them booked on the same holiday cruise. Not only was I able to get them booked on the same sailing, but I managed to get them all rooms near each other and was even able to get my clients from March better pricing while I was at it! I love when things like that happen, and it's just one of the MANY reasons why it's beneficial to use a travel agent. Where ya headed next? I can help get you there!

Between my “hobby job” and Way Maker Travels I worked over 10 hrs today yet I feel like I didn’t work at all. How did I get so lucky to have not one, but two jobs I absolutely love?!?! Six months ago I was stuck in a mind numbing job I absolutely hated. There was one bonus to the job and that was if I was “cool enough” to “get” to go. Now, I’m not only “cool enough” but I’m appreciated, promoted and depended on at B*W. And well, Way Maker Travels is the biggest dream come true. I get to help my family, some of my best friends, and even total strangers plan the coolest vacations and they trust me to do it!!! 😮
This is a perfect lesson for me that when I trust God and take a big leap everything works out better than imagined. HE always knows what HE’S doing.
In 3 days Brooke and I leave for Belize on our mission trip with her school. If I stayed in my last job I would not have been granted the time off to experience this with her. Spring training in AZ wouldn’t have been approved or my anniversary trip with Brian, which have been two of my greatest highlights of the last year. Today is one of those days where I’m pinching myself (happens at least once a week) and I’m wondering how I got so dang lucky?!?!
And not to be cheesy but Brian Schaefer deserves a big recognition in this post too because he allowed (and encouraged) me to say “oh hell no” to the BS and lies that were slung at me at my last job and allowed me to walk away from it and pursue this dream. Maybe next time I won’t wait 5 years to think about and act on my dreams. Time is a beautiful gift 💝

JUST BOOKED: I am honored that my clients trusted me to book them a journey through Rome. They are staying at THE MOST beautiful hotel I've ever seen right outside the Vatican City. They will see the Coliseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and the Spanish Steps. They will have a day trip to Capri and another one to Orvieto. This is going to be one incredible journey for this family, and I am absolutely HONORED they are allowing me to book it for them.

JUST BOOKED: I love when my clients can turn their business trip into play. My new clients have to be in London for a 4-day work conference, so they decided to take a 7-night river cruise beforehand. This cruise will take them along the Danube River through Germany, Austria, and Hungary where they will see some unbelievable scenery. If they need to escape from the (only) 190 passengers on the boat, they can do so in their Explorer Suite and Veranda Balcony Staterooms. How incredible are these staterooms you guys?!?! Time to say I'm officially jealous 😀
