Got Mud??? We know where to find it! Bring your outdoor adventure game and leave the white shirts at home! The 12th annual Mudslide is a fun mudrun with 15 obstacles but NO fire, NO barbed wire, and NO electric shocks! The 4.2 mile and 6.0 mile courses both start at the top of Morning Star and wind there way down the mountain! Yes that is right, no skis... just runing shoes.

2024 Raccoon Ralley Mountain Bike Adventure Race - June 16, 2024
The Forest is calling and it is looking for mountain bikers!!! Allegany State Park plays host to one of the best mountain biking races in Western New York, drawing competitors from several surrounding states. The Raccoon Rally offers cyclists and families a fun and challenging courses for all skill levels.

Free Kids Races round out the Sunday action followed by the awards ceremony and raffle up at the Summit Area as well. Race-day registration is welcome. Rain or Shine!

The run kicks of at the Art Roscoe Ski area and winds through the trails of the park! Walkers are welcome on the 5k course. Lake Effect Snow + Holiday Valley Snow Making all week = Great End of 2023-24 Ski Trip.
Holiday Valley received 4 inches of Snow on Monday and it has been snowing all day on Tueday March 19, 2024. There cold temperatures forcast all week, and Holiday Valley is making snow all week for a great ski weekend. Take a end of season ski trip after this crazy winter. 2024 Penguin Paddle at Holiday Valley Resort
The annual Penguin Paddle is an all-day event that is held on the slope-side of the Yodeler lodge in cooperation with Holiday Valley Ski Resort. Most of the students who participate in LASP require specially designed adaptive equipment which is very expensive. The proceeds from Penguin Paddle help to purchase and maintain this equipment and to fund ongoing adaptive training programs for the 40 volunteer instructors.

Head out to the slopes to participate or purchase items for this annual fundraiser for the adaptive ski program. In addition to the Penguin Paddle Races, the day’s festivities include a buffet cook-out lunch, silent auction, and raffle. The day is always loads of fun for the entire family and an opportunity to support a wonderful program.

Holiday Valley kicks off the 2023-24 ski season on December 1, 2023!
Holiday Valley Resort opened for the 2023-24 ski season on Friday with 3 lifts and 5 runs. The weather is lookin better for snow making conditions later next week, so hopefully the resort's mountain crew can kick up the snow guns. It would be nice if mother nature kicked some in too.

The Farmer's Almanac is forecasting jack frost to return, after the unually warm winter in 2022-23 for the U.S. They are calling for "below-average temperatures and lots of snowstorms, sleet, ice, rain for much of the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and Midwes areas of the country, as well as central and northern New England, especially in January and February." That hopefully translates to snow and great skiing in Western NY!!!!

Time to plan that ski trip to Ellicottville!

So hopefully they are right, which they have been for many years. Keep our fingers crossed, boards waxed and eyes on the slopes!!

2023 EA2EVL Fondo Bike Ride is September 30, 2023
This annual charity fund raiser is a 42 mile bike ride from East Aurora New York to Ellicottivlle NY to raise funds for the 27-mile Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail (ECRT) that runs from Orchard Park to Ashford, NY. Enjoy the ride from 42 North Brewery in East Aurora to the Apres Bike Party with craft beer, food, vendors, chair lift rides and the lively tunes of Never Ben. 2023 Rock N' Roll Weekend in Ellicottville - Sept 15 to 17, 2023
Enjoy this annual car show and music weekend that has been a tradition in Ellicottville for over 20 years. Over 15 regional bands will perform in local venues free of charge. Saturday there will be a live outdoor performance by “Queen City” a tribute to Queen at 1PM and Sunday, Terry Buchwald’s Elvis show, at 1:30pm. Also on Sunday, the annual car and truck show, featuring over 250 vehicles, will take place on the Village Streets from noon until 5pm.

2023 Griffis Sculpture Park Summer Festival - August 20, 2023
Enjoy the 10th annual fesitval with music, creativity, exploration, food, beer & wine, and much more. The festivals originated back in the 1970s when the park developled, and has been a welcomed rejuvination for the park since coming back.

Enjoy live music on stage from Pittsburgh, Buffalos and other area bands. The event also features a vendor village, a kid’s crafts area, food stands, and beer & wine service and more. The annual event is a major fundraiser for one of the nation’s oldest and biggest sculpture parks. It's also a Western New York treasure. Enjoy the sculptures up and close in the park.
