Juma Amazon Lodge features 20 intimate bungalows seamlessly nestled into the lush surroundings of the Amazon Rainforest. In order to accommodate the water levels of the wet season (often rising up to 15 meters, or 49 feet), the property was built on stilts upon solid ground resting at treetop level. Juma Lodge is entirely eco-friendly in design and construction. All materials used in the construction of Juma are native and found abundantly in the region, carefully extracted from the surrounding area. Both the construction and the architectural style of the lodge reflect the techniques employed by Amazon River natives when building their own homes.

Day 1 – BELO HORIZONTE

Arrival in Belo Horizonte and transfer to Liberty Palace.
Departure to Vale Verde (55 Km from Belo Horizonte) – visit to the production of the Vale Verde Cachaça production (tasting and lunch included). At night dinner at Butiquim Mineiro Alambic with Cachaça tasting.

Day 2 – BELO HORIZONTE / CAETÉ / OURO PRETO

Departure to Caeté to visit Cachaça Germana production with tasting and lunch. Arrival in Ouro Preto and Overnight in Pousada Classica

Day 3 – OURO PRETO

Full Day Ouro Preto and Mariana with lunch.
Overnight in Pousada Classica

Day 4 - OURO PRETO / CONGONHAS / SÃO JOÃO DEL REI / TIRADENTES

Departure from Ouro Preto and Full Day Congonhas, São João del Rei and Tiradentes with lunch. Overnight at Tiradentes at Villa Alegra

Day 5 – TIRADENTES / MIGUEL PEREIRA / PARATY

Departure of Tiradentes in the morning and transfer to Miguel Pereira (280 Km) Arrival at Fazenda do Anil – Cachaça Magnífica – visit to the production and lunch. In the afternoon transfer to Paraty (235 Km). Overnight at Corsário Pousada

Half Day tour to visit 4 different Cachaça distilleries – Coqueiro, Corisco, Engenho D’Ouro e Fazenda Muricana - where we can tasty different kinds of cachaça and see its artesian process of fabrication.

Day 7 – PARATY / RIO DE JANEIRO

Day at leisure to take an optional tour or explore this charming colonial town In the end of the day transfer to Rio de Janeiro (256 km). Overnight at Plaza Copacabana hotel

Day 8 - RIO DE JANEIRO

In the morning, Half Day tour to Corcovado. Afternoon at leisure.
At night possibility ( optional) to make a Caipirinha workshop at Academia da Cachaça (as per availability depending on the day of the week)

Day free to relax or take an optional tour.
