Dear Guests:

All good things must come to an end. Unfortunately, due to financial hardships caused by Covid-19, we are no longer able to sustain our business. We will be communicating with our guests in the coming weeks as to what the next steps are for rebooking, as many of you have future cruise certificates.

While it pains us to say this, we highly recommend folks NOT book any cruises for the remainder of 2020. We are now seeing cancellations though December 2020 and many itineraries in 2021 being revised or cancelled.

We appreciate all of your support throughout the years and hope that cruising, and life, will return to normal in the near future.

Dear Members,

We would like to take this time to explain the process of future cruise credits and cancellations as we have been receiving many inquiries about this matter and how it all works when you’re ready to rebook.

If you have received a future cruise credit due to the recent events, you are still responsible for the difference in fare. What does that mean? The cruise you just canceled cost $1000, the new cruise is $1700. You pay the $700 difference in fare. This has always been the cruise line policy.

Let’s say your new cruise is $800. In most cases, you’ll receive an onboard credit for the difference of $200. You will not get cash back unless you cancel outside of penalty and happened to book a refundable deposit rate. If you do have a leftover balance, we suggest members not add prepaid gratuities before departure as those credits can be use onboard to pay them. Some cruise lines will not issue an onboard credit or refund for unused balances.

Many cruise lines have instituted a temporary cancellation policy. Please ensure that you are aware of the current policy and any deadlines for doing so. You can review those policies by visiting the individual cruise line web sites. A no-show is very different than canceling ahead of time.

We suggest that our members begin to search for their new cruise as inventory will be difficult to find as affected cruise passengers begin to rebook their vacations. If you are planning on traveling on peak dates such as spring break, summer, holidays, etc. and are traveling in triple and quad occupancy cabins, you may want to rebook those at the time of cancellation to ensure your place onboard and to lock-in your rate. We have already seen an increase in future cruise pricing.

Speaking at a White House press conference tonight, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of NIAD, told reporters if you are healthy, there is no reason to eschew cruise vacations.

After this week, I need a cruise/vacation and I truly dislike the hysteria fueling media even more. We’ll recover but the sad part is many won’t.

Many of my friends working at cruise lines, airlines and hotels are truly the victims in this case. Some have lost their entire retirement investments because of this and surely many will lose their jobs which will turn into higher hold time, more expensive costs later on for consumers, layoffs, budget cuts, packed flights with few flight options and the list is endless.

To those who decided to cancel and received a future cruise credit, you better rebook soon because all of those folks have the same thing you do... and the rates have and will continue to go up. Peak dates are still peak dates. Triple and quad occupancy will also become an issue because they already are. Don’t wait until the last minute to rebook if you know you’re going. As time goes on less will be available as folks scramble to rebook before deadlines expire. Expect 💯 occupancy starting after the summer.

If you know you are going to travel for Spring Break, summer or holidays, now would be the time to start searching for 2021 and 2022. Lock-in the ideal cabin/hotel/resort deals now so you're not stuck with bad locations especially if you are trying to organize a group.

YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY? BE FLEXIBLE WITH YOUR DATES. BEGINNING OF DECEMBER IS THE BEST PRICED SEASON.

CHRISTMAS, THANKSGIVING, NEW YEAR, SPRING BREAK ARE THE MOST EXPENSIVE WEEKS OF THE YEAR FOLLOWED BY LONG WEEKENDS AND SUMMER DATES.

If you are attempting to reserve accommodations for three or more people in one room, it's imperative that you book early. Occupancy restrictions start sooner than you think.

Prices/promotions can always be changed if they go down before final payment. Many of my unadvertised rates have cutoff dates starting at 120, 90, 60 days prior to departure.

Don't be that person that will be paying substantially more for a vacation by waiting until the last-minute.
