The Solar Eclipse is almost here! We have decided to rent the Edge House, on Petit Jean Mountain, for the Solar Eclipse. If you are interested PM me for details.

Hope everyone is staying healthy. With no travel or non-essential visits, we, like everyone else, are locked down and waiting for this threat to subside. When we are in the "all clear" status, we will be ready for resuming rentals. I think we will all be ready to get out of the house!

Visited Edge House today and watered ferns and flowers around the house. Here are some of the ones blooming outside the house this past Monday.

After taking care of the yard, we went to have lunch at the lodge and crossing the Davies Bridge we saw a flock of Geese scratching and pecking in the grass by the water. So pretty and more tolerant of my intrusion than I expected. I wish I would have had my Nikon for some close shots of them.

You still have time to book a weekend in August. Look into Aug 1-4 weekend is still available and August 8-11. Other weekends are booked. A nice hike to the waterfall is awesome in the hot weather of August. It's a bit cooler on the shaded trails and lots of the time, you get misted from the waterfall!

The heat is on!! But, the park is beautiful. Hummingbirds are out in force, can't hardly keep the little rascals fed!

We have some reservations open for the summer and you have time to book a beautiful weekend in the fall!

Well, its been rain, rain, rain. I think we have a couple days of warmth and sun. Then rain, rain again.... I can't wait to get out and take pictures on the mountain. I bet Cedar Falls is awesome about now!!!!! I'll try to get some pics soon.

Fall is here, the colors are beautiful! We have a new dinette in the house that seats 6! A little more room at the table for family meals. These pictures were all taken from inside the house. Last one as I was turning off all the lights to leave and go home. The sky was so pretty. It had been raining and pretty nasty. As the clouds started to break the sunlight coming thru was gorgeous and full of color.

As August draws to a close, we have had lots of rain. Crossing Davies Bridge, I ran down the trail far enough to get a shot of the waterfall! Such a pretty bridge and surrounding area. The trails at the bridge are lots of fun to hike and not all that strenuous!

Summer is here in full swing. Finally we have some rain and storms make for some pretty views. Here are a few and a few shots of the swarm of hummingbirds that are dining at the Edge House. Feeders just outside the Sun Porch, so fun to watch them!

One of our youngest guest left her little elephant at the Edge House. I am going to send it to her, along with a picture of the sunset from Mather Lodge with her little elephant gazing at the sunset.. I bet she loves it!

Looking good in June. I need to take more indoor pics but broke my favorite carry lens and only have a long telephoto until I get a replacement. The hummingbirds are going crazy!

No matter outside or inside, The Edge House offers plenty of views of the Arkansas River and Valley. From the Sun Porch, Master Bedroom, Master Bath, 3rd Bedroom or outside sitting on the boulders. The view is stunning and ever-changing.

Really cool Sun Porch. Sit and relax surrounded by the magnificent view of the river / valley. It is climate controlled. Has a table to seat 4 for dining or games. One of the sofas will pull out and is a twin sleeper.

This bedroom has a view of the river and valley. It has a queen sized bed, closet and drawer space. It has a tv.

In the master bedroom, there is a king sized bed, TV, drawers and closet. The bath has a jazuzzi tub and double sinks. The shower is separate.

The Great Room has vaulted ceilings, super view of the Arkansas River/Valley. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, games and books to keep you busy if not in the park exploring. Internet is available, just not very fast due to the remote, mountain top location. You can work remotely and browse the web and social media. Basic cable is also provided.

Love the open design of the Edge House. When you walk in you can see clear thru to the river and valley below, just beyond the Sun Porch!
