🎆2024 Year in Review...December Edition!🎆

💞We started the month by gathering with some of our family in Alabama for a quick dinner and long hugs. It's always good to be with those you love. 💞

🛬🛫Doug and I came home from our Tennessee/Georgia/Alabama trip for two days before turning around and squeezing one more trip in before the end of the year...Disney World and the Disney Wish! ✨🏰🚢✨ We have been on the Disney Fantasy, the Disney Dream, the Disney Magic, and now the Disney Wish and every time with just adults! It's always a wonderful trip and never disappoints! Being there for one of the Christmastime Cruises was extra magical! ✨🎄✨ Bonus: We were seated with a lovely couple from Atlanta, GA and enjoyed chatting over dinner every night and taking in all that Disney offered! We especially enjoyed Disney's version of the Newlywed Game...I don't think any of us will ever forget that evening!😂

🦁The day after returning home, we found ourselves once again enjoying a theater performance from our young friend, Nora. Being empty nesters means we miss those times with our own children but it offers us opportunities to support others. 🎭💛

🎆2024 Year in Review...November Edition!🎆

🌴I started the month by taking a trip with some of my fellow agents to Jamaica! We spent a few days touring a couple of Sandals and Beaches locations. We were all treated to such an amazing time that it was hard to leave. 🏝🇯🇲

✨🏰✨After my Jamaica trip, my cousin Tamara met me at Walt Disney World where we had a relaxing stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. 🎄

🦃At the end of the month, we spent a week with all of our children, grandchildren, and parents in Dawsonville, GA. It was a wonderful stay and a dream trip to have all of our family under one roof! 💞

🎆2024 Year in Review...October-ish Edition!🎆

🎃Technically, this is the end of September early October edition but I had to share one of the most memorable vacations we've EVER had at Walt Disney World! ✨🏰✨ If you've never gone to WDW with adults only, you absolutely MUST do this...and get yourselves some friends like Brad & Lindsay McClelland to go with! 💛

🎢 We rope dropped multiple days, experienced new rides, explored new areas of the parks, and laughed until we cried! None of us will ever forget our dinner at Ohana...not just because of the fantastic food and ambiance, but because we'll only have to look at each other to burst into laughter with inside joke recollection! 🤣

🎆2024 Year in Review...August Edition Part 2!🎆

⛲ We continued our visit with Melissa's family by getting to go to Casa Bonita (IYKYK) with Paige Kercheville & Zach Higgins. For the rest of their visit, we enjoyed time by the pool, eating, visiting, and soaking in every minute with Melissa's precious family. 💗

🚢 At the end of the month, we headed to Seattle, WA to meet up with our dear friends, Chip & Christi Porter before embarking on a cruise to Alaska!

🎆2024 Year in Review...August Part 1!🎆

🤠 I started off the month by heading to Texas with some of my fellow M&M Magical Adventure agents to a conference hosted by our amazing agency owners! They spoiled us with fun, games, merch, and, of course, TONS of information and in-person visits from representatives including Universal Studios, Disney, Celebrity Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Hyatt Inclusive, Sandals/Beaches, and Carnival Cruise Line to name a few. 🎡🎠🎢🚢🏖🌴

🎉🎂🎉 August is an incredibly busy month for our family with multiple birthdays and anniversaries. I celebrated my 55th birthday with a gorgeous cake from a dear friend. We took my mom out for her (🤫) birthday and Melissa and her family flew in to see us in Colorado for her 30th birthday! Of course we had to go to a Rockies game to celebrate Melissa's milestone even though a couple in our group didn't get the memo and "accidentally" brought their Padres shirts! 🙄🫶⚾

🎆2024 Year in Review...July Edition Part 2!🎆

🏕After 20 years of serving at FC's Colorado Camp, I stayed close to home and enjoyed special time with Jackson. He had several things on his request list and we did our best to accommodate. ☺️

🥏⛳Doug and Jackson went to a nearby frisbee golf course and enjoyed the competition as well as the Colorado sunshine! 🌅

🏔Jackson has long wanted to go to places in Colorado near or on the western slope to visit two different landmarks. The first on his list was to travel to Glenwood Springs and see Doc Holliday's grave. On the way, we stopped in beautiful Vail and enjoyed a late brunch before heading further west. Doc Holliday, famously known for his part in the O.K. Corral gunfight in Tombstone, AZ, was diagnosed with tuberculosis at a young age and, after seeking treatment in Colorado, died at the age of 36 in Glenwood Springs, CO. The hike up to his grave in the old Linwood Cemetery is a good little jaunt but it is an interesting and educational destination, for sure. ⚰

🎶🏔🎵Jackson's second request was to visit the John Denver Sanctuary in Aspen, CO. If you have never experienced this beautiful site, I would highly recommend it. Starting in 1998, just months after John Denver's tragic death, the City of Aspen began transforming an ugly drainage ditch into one of the most peaceful, tranquil, thoughtful locations I have ever seen. It's obvious why so many people visit this spot and find inspiration for their own thoughts and dreams. 🕊

🎆2024 Year in Review...July Edition Pt. 1!🎆

🇺🇸 July had so many events that I had to share in 2 parts! Doug and I went to the Colorado Rockies game for July 4th on an impulse and enjoyed their incredible fireworks show. 🎇⚾

💖We were able to meet up with my cousin, Maria, and her family as they headed to the airport after their Colorado/Wyoming vacation. It's never time enough, especially for cousins who are more like sisters. 👭

🏔 Matthew and Hannah came for a visit and we enjoyed showing off parts of our state to Hannah that she had never seen before. A day in Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park, Collin & Jordana McMasters wedding in Ken Caryl, and golfing at Spring Hill Golf Course were some of the highlights of our time together. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Next, we enjoyed a visit from Jackson overlapped by a visit from Andrew and his precious family. Andrew's request was to take Stephanie, Luke, & Wyatt on one of our favorite family hikes outside of Breckenridge. It was the perfect day for it and the boys were such troopers! 🥾

🎆2024 Year in Review...June Edition!🎆

👰🏼June is always a special month for Doug and me because it's our anniversary month but this year was extra special as it marked 35 years! There's no one else I'd rather go through this life with and I feel so blessed that God has granted us this many years thus far. 💕

🌞On one of our many road trips this year, we stopped in Wichita, KS (where we recently flipped a house) and ate at one of our favorite spots...Do Dah Diner! The Banana Bread French Toast is an absolute must! 🍌

📦Doug was able to make another trip to Tennessee and Arkansas as he, my brother, and my nephew delivered furniture to Matthew & Hannah's new address in Nashville. The time is never long enough but we take the moments as they come. 🚚

🈲We always enjoy any time with our dear friends, the Saltzes, and frequently end up at Bonchon for food and fellowship. 🍜

💦Finally, we hosted an end-of-the-quarter party for my 3rd-5th grade Bible class. What a wonderful group of young people that we are blessed to know! 🔫

🎆2024 Year in Review...May Edition!🎆

🌷We started off the month getting to see our sweet friend, Nora, in a production of Anastasia. It was so obvious how much she loved every minute of the performance! 🎭 Before heading on a road trip, some of my high school girlfriends and I were able to gather again at our friend Justine's house for another fun evening. 🌮🌯🇲🇽 Next, we drove to Chattanooga, TN to bring a piece of furniture to Melissa so she could repurpose it in her home. We spent some time there and enjoyed another trip to Chattanooga's amazing aquarium. If you've never been, I highly recommend it! 🐟🐠🐬🦈 On the way home to Colorado, we stopped in Searcy, AR to spend some family time with Andrew, Stephanie, and our two oldest grandsons, Luke & Wyatt. Pop (Doug) loves having his fishing buddies whenever possible and I relish in their hugs! 🎣🤗

Finally, I enjoyed getting pictures from a multi-generational family who I was honored to book on their very first Disney Cruise. This family just screams FUN and their smiles were absolutely contagious! 🚢🏴‍☠️🎉

🎆2024 Year in Review...April Edition!🎆

☔ Even though Doug had to have surgery on his ankle, we still had a schedule to keep! I started the month by being present for RHS Coach Terry Taylor's induction to the CHSCA Hall of Fame. It was an honor to be his basketball manager for all those years in high school and an even greater honor for him to be such a special part of my life all of these years. 🏀

After Jackson's debut performance in Sweeny Todd with the Tampa Opera in 2023, we were able to attend this year's show, La Traviata, and see Jackson in a true opera. Of course, we had to experience this with our fellow culture adventurers, Bart & Amy White. This always includes dinner at another delicious Tampa offering. 😋 We were also able to spend some time with Matthew & Hannah before they moved to Nashville. 💛

👰🏼Last, but not least, we flew to Cincinnati to attend Travis & Hannah Forsyth's wedding where we enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Bonus...Doug and I checked off another baseball stadium in our pursuit to see a game at every MLB venue! ⚾

🎆2024 Year in Review...March Edition!🎆

🍀March was definitely a rollercoaster month for us. 🎢 In one week, Matthew was accepted into PA school at Lipsomb University in Nashville, Melissa gave birth to our first granddaughter, Laurel, Jackson celebrated his birthday, and Doug broke his ankle, requiring surgery. I was also able to spend an evening full of smiles, laughter, tears, and food with some of my friends from elementary, middle, and high school. It's such a blessing having so many constants in my life! 💛

🎆2024 Year in Review...February Edition!🎆

A few of us ladies from church tried out a Korean food hall (Coark Collective) and enjoyed sampling all of the delicious menu items (the donuts were a MUST!). 🍩

🛫 Doug and I traveled to Chattanooga, TN where I was able to attend Melissa's baby shower, which was absolutely beautiful (thank you, ladies from North Hixson!).☔ We always love all of the different activities to do in Chattanooga, as well as trying out new restaurants! 😋

During our visit, we attended a memorial service for our dear friend, Lois Fletcher, and were able to reunite with many of the beloved Christians we knew in Gainesville, FL when we were first married. 💜

🚢 Last, but not least, I enjoyed seeing vacation pictures from my first group cruise clients! They were a delight to work with and I am so thankful for their support! 💙

We started off the year by taking a cruise with two of my cousins and their husbands. What a fun time on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas! 🚢 After a departure from Port Canaveral, we enjoyed exploring various ports on an 8-night Eastern Caribbean cruise, solving mysteries, playing games, and, of course, eating! 🍽
