✨ Guide Spotlight: Sarah Holman✨

From the rugged coastline of Maine to the breathtaking trails of Shenandoah, Sarah brings passion, expertise, and an adventurous spirit to every trip she leads.

💬 She first fell in love with hiking in 2020, setting an ambitious goal to climb all of New England’s 4000+ foot peaks in a year. That journey led her to solo backpack Maine’s 100-Mile Wilderness, an experience so transformative it inspired her to become a Registered Maine Guide and share the outdoors with other women.

🌍 Since joining AGC, Sarah has guided all over the country, and in 2025, she’ll be leading trips in Provence, Maine, Vermont, Shenandoah, and Sedona & the Grand Canyon!

💬 Where will you adventure with Sarah next? 🏔️

✨ An Empowering Story of a Woman Traveler for Women’s History Month✨

Kathy’s first AGC adventure wasn’t just about hiking—it was about empowerment. Hiking the Camino de Santiago had long been a dream, a journey she felt drawn to for years. When she saw AGC was leading a group along the Camino, she knew it was time to turn that dream into reality.

Blisters, challenges, and miles of walking didn’t stop her. With the support of her AGC guide and fellow travelers, she pressed on—gaining confidence, resilience, and friendships that have lasted far beyond the trail.

Now, after nine adventures with AGC, Kathy carries forward the spirit of encouraging other women to step outside their comfort zones and into a new, exciting adventure.

✨ “Since traveling with AGC, I’m all about empowering other women to do things they never thought they could do.”

This Women’s History Month, celebrate the strength of women adventurers like Kathy. 🚶‍♀️💛 Read more on Kathy's story in one of our recent blog posts: https://hubs.la/Q03bRt5h0

Women Trailblazers Who Changed the World of Adventure 🌍

For centuries, adventure was seen as a man’s domain—until fearless women shattered expectations and redefined what was possible. This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating four trailblazing explorers who proved that adventure knows no boundaries:

✨ Jeanne Baret – The first woman to circumnavigate the globe, disguising herself as a man to join a 1766 expedition.
✨ Nellie Bly – A journalist who raced around the world in a record-breaking 72 days in 1889.
✨ Junko Tabei – The first woman to summit Mount Everest and climb the highest peak on every continent.
✨ Emma Gatewood – The first woman to solo thru-hike the Appalachian Trail—at age 67!

Their stories continue to inspire, just like the women who travel with AGC today. ✨ Read more in our recent blog: https://hubs.la/Q039_7C70

This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating Lindsay, the incredible founder of Tracks and Trails and one of our expert guides for our Mont Blanc adventures. 🌿🏔️

Lindsay’s journey began over 20 years ago when her love for rock climbing first brought her to the Chamonix Valley. What started as a passion soon became a calling—introducing hikers to the breathtaking Mont Blanc region and empowering them to confidently embrace the mountains.

"I learned that the job satisfaction achieved by introducing people to the mountains was immense, and something I soon learned to love. Twenty years later, I am still introducing hikers to this incredible alpine landscape." – Lindsay

From leading first-time trekkers across alpine passes to sharing her deep-rooted knowledge, Lindsay is more than a guide—she’s an inspiration. She reminds us that the mountains have a way of bringing out the best in us, offering challenge, beauty, and a profound sense of accomplishment.

In honor of National Wildlife Day, we’re taking a look back at where it all began for our CEO, Kelly. 🦉✨

What started as a simple field trip to Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge quickly turned into a lifelong passion for birding. From building her collection of field guides to interning at the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, conducting bird population surveys in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and studying Bald Eagles in Arizona—birdwatching shaped Kelly’s career in conservation and adventure travel.

Today, we’re sharing throwback photos from her early days in the field—along with a blog where she reflects on how birding ignited her love for wildlife and continues to inspire her adventures.

📖 Read her story and see how birdwatching remains a powerful way to connect with the natural world: https://hubs.la/Q038_J750

On , we celebrate the incredible creatures we meet on our journeys—whether it's watching manatees glide through Florida’s springs, spotting lions in Tanzania, bison grazing in the field of South Dakota, or snorkeling among sea lions in the Galápagos.

☀️ Check out all the fun these ladies just had in the paradise islands of Belize!

This group sure knows how to embrace the sunshine—and with all the time they spent on the water, they may have even turned into true sea women! From snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs to kayaking in waters teeming with marine life, every moment was an adventure.

But as you can see from these snapshots, they also knew how to kick back and soak in the island vibes—swaying in hammocks, tasting fresh seafood straight from the sea, cracking open coconuts from the trees, and even venturing inland to explore ancient Mayan ruins.

🌊 Trip highlights included:
🐠 Enjoying fresh lobster right off the grill
🛶 Kayaking and paddling in crystal-clear waters bursting with life
🧘‍♀️ Finding their flow with yoga on the beach
🥥 Trying fresh coconut straight from the source
🎣 Fishing as a group and sharing the day’s catch
🌅 Relaxing in hammocks while watching the sunset paint the sky

Belize, you were a dream! Who’s joining us next time? 🏝️✨

Want to ride a trail that’s as rich in history as it is in beauty? Allow us to introduce you to South Dakota’s 109-mile George S. Mickelson Trail!🚴‍♀️

On our South Dakota Hills and Trills adventure, we trade our hiking boots for bikes for a day to explore this famous trail! This iconic 109-mile trail, once a railroad line, has been transformed into one of the country’s best “rails to trails” routes. It crosses over 100 bridges and through 4 rock tunnels, all while offering views of Black Hills country and National Forest land. 🌲🏞️

The trail’s gentle slopes make it accessible for all abilities, whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just in it for the ride.

But here’s the best part: After a leisurely 18-mile ride, we’ll head to Prairie Berry Winery for a wine tasting! Beer lovers will also have the chance to try handcrafted brews from Miner Brewing Company, which uses local South Dakota ingredients like wild fruits and honey. 🍇🍻

It’s the perfect day of cycling, scenic beauty, and local flavors. Ready to pedal through history with us? Book your spot: https://hubs.la/Q038vn4s0

Our Story

Adventures in Good Company is an active travel company for women with adventurous spirits. We offer small group adventures that encourage women of all ages to (re)connect with their adventurous selves, physical abilities, other women, different cultures, and the natural world.

From hiking to sea kayaking, backpacking to multisport adventures, our vacations are for women who love being active, whether they’re first time travelers or lifelong outdoorswomen. It’s not about how fast you hike or how many passport stamps you have- it’s about taking on a new challenge with the support and friendship of the AGC community.

We create experiences of a lifetime for women seeking a new adventure. We handle the logistics so you can fully experience some of the most breathtaking places on earth alongside other curious women and with the support of our experienced guides.

Together, we share new experiences. We build community. We eat delicious food. We laugh a lot. And we walk (or paddle, snowshoe, or ski) away with new friendships and a mixture of deep satisfaction and a hunger for our next adventure.
