Shhh… I’m almost hesitant to share this because the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts feels like such a hidden gem. This festival is easily one of my all-time favorites. 💖 It brings so much color 🌈 to the middle of a gray winter ❄️, with live Broadway performances 🎭, and even the dishes at the Food Studios are like edible art! 🎨🍽️

It’s the perfect time to visit—crowds are lighter, the weather is just right (a welcome break from both winter at home and Florida’s summer heat ☀️🔥), and it’s the perfect exhale after the busy holiday season. 😌

You don’t need to be an artist or a foodie to enjoy it—this festival truly has something for everyone. 🌟 Let’s just keep this our little secret, though. 🤐 Have you been before? What’s your favorite part?

👋🥰 Hello, friends! It’s been a while since I introduced myself, so I thought now would be the perfect time to say hi and share a little about me! I’m Shayleigh, and I’m a travel professional who works with families, couples, and adventure seekers to plan vacations they’ll remember forever. UNIVERSAL HAS SOMETHING FOR GUESTS OF ALL AGES! 🎉🌟 (Sorry for shouting, but people just don’t seem to be hearing me! 🤷‍♀️✨) The new DreamWorks Land even fills the hole for kids and adults who never want to grow up after Shrek 4D closed. 🧅💚 This is a major glow-up for our favorite swamp-loving ogre, with the new meet-and-greet, Swamp Snack Shack, and an awesome kids' play area.

This is, of course, in addition to the all-new:

🐼 Kung Fu Panda Live Show
🎠 Poppy’s Playground

From celebrating the golden age of Hollywood to becoming the epicenter of immersive lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land, Hollywood Studios continues to evolve.

🎒🤔Is there anything more debated than what to pack in—or what to use as—your park bag?! You’ll see a little bit of everything when visiting the Disney parks. Some go with the full-size backpack loaded with everything you could possibly need during the day. Others opt for a Loungefly mini backpack, perfectly sized for the necessities and a little room for souvenirs. And then there are the f***y pack/cross body enthusiasts who only bring the bare minimum.

But really, what are the absolute must-haves for a Disney park bag?

☀️ Sunscreen
🔋 Portable phone charger
💳 Wallet
🕶️ Sunglasses

And I personally can’t leave my room without my own battery operated personal fan. On those hot park days, it’s an absolute necessity! Also, don’t forget that hand sanitizer/wet wipes (Germs begone!)

Everything else (❌🍬except gum!) can probably be found at the parks, so enjoy the freedom of lightening your load and keeping it simple! What else is a must-have in your Disney park bag? 🎒☀️ And bonus question, what is your bag of choice?

C’mon, who decided to deem National Buffet Day the day after many of us resolved to get into better shape?🤷‍♀️🥗 But here we are and if there’s one thing Disney knows how to do, it’s how to serve an epic buffet. Today, let’s talk about the options you have OUTSIDE of the parks at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Here’s a solid line-up for breakfast, lunch and dinner options:

🍳Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast. No characters here, but the food selection is amazing!

🍓1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for an early lunch (they serve breakfast/brunch until12pm before closing until 4pm for dinner). Lot’s of variety, strawberry soup and plenty of character!

🌺‘Ohana at Polynesian Village Resort for good food (OK, not a true buffet, but it is all you care to enjoy), incredible ambiance and stick around for fireworks viewing along the beach!

A Year in Review! ✔️ I debated about whether to post this or not. My goal for 2024 was to hit 50K in Booked Sales. Now, I clearly did not meet that goal (nor did I even hit half lol 😂 ) but I'm proud of what I accomplished! 👏🏻

A few things I did this year to grow my business:
✅ I completed trainings to be certified as a travel advisor selling Disney and Universal Destinations.
✅ I started multiple social media accounts to market myself and a Facebook group for like-minded Disney Freaks.
✅ I attended the yearly conference for Mousekeplanner in July and met many other agents and learned so much about other destinations and how to continue to market my business.
✅ I had so many friends, family and co-workers share my little side hustle with others that helped get my name out there. Their support meant the world!
✅ Also, I did all of this while also working a separate full-time job and being a wife and mother!

Now I don't list all this to brag, it's only my first full year being a travel agent and while I can count on one hand how many clients I had, I know that I was able to give them my all and I learned SO much. It's not all in the numbers, sometimes, and I guess I'm sharing this to remind myself (and maybe some of you😉) that.

🎨✨💗I can’t believe EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts isn’t more popular and doesn’t get more love, it is INCREDIBLE! For starters, can we talk about how nice this BURST of color is right in the middle of the dark, dreary days of Winter? Aside from that, who doesn’t love

Watching 🖌️✨ LIVE artists do their thing everywhere you turn.

🤔When is a good time to visit Walt Disney World? I get asked that ALL the time, and part of me wants to keep it a secret because I have grown to love the calm winter months so much. Mid-January into early February, is a perfect post-holiday getaway. You’ll find lighter crowds, cooler temps and the colorful, fun and inspiring EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! (Who doesn’t love a good Festival, especially one this underrated and special.)

🎃🎄 🐴✨ For a cozy, storybook experience that’s extra magical during the Halloween and Christmas holidays, book a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. These are available year round, but take on a whole new level of amazing, thanks to the creative campsite decorations of the resort guests. 🛷🎄✨ During the month of December, these become “sleigh rides”, are wildly popular and more expensive. All rides are 25 minutes and can accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children.

I know I would love to see all the Christmas decorations, it would be so magical and festive!! 🎄🎄

📌Pro Tip: If you want that holiday magic without the December rush (or sleigh prices), book your ride in November! 🍁 The campsites will already be decked out with festive decorations giving you all the 🎄❄️ holiday feels, but reservations are way easier to snag and you may even be able to walk up. 🎄🏠🍭 Is building a gingerbread house a tradition you’re on board with? Disney sure is! Each year, Disney’s resort hotels create life-sized gingerbread masterpieces—complete with hidden Mickeys! From the Grand Floridian’s working gingerbread house shop to the Grand Californian’s adorable “mini me” display, these creations are worth the trip alone. They even do this on cruises! 🚢

We try as a family to decorate gingerbread houses as least once a year, but I can guarantee they are not at the same level of the ones in the parks! 😂

📆🎉Happy Leap Day! I don’t know about you, but the very word “leap” makes me think of the jumping fountains at EPCOT’s Imagination pavilion. ⛲️ Have you experienced this yet? It’s such a neat illusion!
