Planning, Promotion & Publicity for Your Writing Success! After more than 25 years in business development, marketing, and public relations, Robin Peel founded Robin Peel Marketing & Public Relations in 2002. She put her experience to work helping professional service firms, health practitioners, and small start-ups achieve success in promoting and publicizing their businesses using free publicity

, savvy promotion, and strategically placed advertising. Now she specializes in working with Southern AZ authors. Robin first became a small business owner at age 14, when she sold greeting cards and wrapping paper. She quickly discovered that marketing to the mothers of friends and classmates was far more effective – and much more fun – than cold calling. In those days before the Internet made online shopping possible, people liked the convenience of setting up an appointment to see the latest samples and catalogs in their own homes. Loyal customers who provided "warm" leads convinced her of the power of word-of-mouth promotion. Robin spent many years with Carondelet Health Network in charge of marketing and business development for physical rehabilitation, occupational health and behavioral health. Previous experience as a hospital Social Work Director provided her with a unique combination of relationship-building, strategic planning and fiscal accountability skills. She continues to help Tucson businesses grow with promotion projects designed to cost-effectively expand public awareness and increase their client base. As a co-publisher of Tucson Business Mixers & Networking Tips, Robin encourages local business organizations to submit their free listings of upcoming mixers, workshops and teleseminars that are open to the entire business community to www.BizSite4.com. Community service includes being a marketing consultant for the AZ Star’s Small Business Makeover feature, leading a monthly marketing roundtable for the Arizona Small Business Association, serving as a marketing mentor for the Microbusiness Advancement Center, and providing presentations on low-cost promotion activities to business networking groups.
