There is certainly no doubt that we packed it all in on our 3-day post LE Miami FAM to St. Barth’s, and our lovely hotel and villa Tropical Hôtel St Barth & Villa Jade.

St. Barth’s, imho, is fairytale island. It’s just difficult enough to get to that the clientele who ascends on this island appreciate it for what it is…the South of 🇫🇷 in the Caribbean. Although it takes a few flights to get there, you have the Tropezian experiences craved without the jet lag. Oh ya…and nearly perfect year-round weather.

Our beautiful, quaint and vibey Tropical Hôtel St Barth sits right in St. Jean Bay; a perfect location to walk to , , and the duties shopping in this area…as well as the stunning and iconic views of the Bay from the hotel. With just 24 rooms, feels almost like a private villa, as our common spaces are homey and inviting. , our signature restaurant, features the only Indonesian food on the island (and trust me, the chicken satay will not disappoint!). There are a plethora of room categories, but my personal favorite are the Pool Suites.

St. Barth’s is an iconic luxury destination for a reason; great service, gastronomy, classy party vibes, stunning crystal clear waters and million $ villas lends itself to being a playground of the rich & famous (as I once walked into a restaurant where Paul McCartney, Pamela Anderson and Tim McGraw were all dining, separately). And of course, celebrity sightings can be fun, but the island is more fun, allowing you to cocoon in a cozy room if you wish or to imbibe at its famous beach clubs and hotels.

Our FAM had the opportunity to experience , , and , but also had time to chill at the pool, Governeur Beach and shop in Gustavia. It was a complete experience, and one that I’m truly grateful that was I able to spend with , WE Luxe Travel , , .travel.ally , and !

Sri Lanka may be of the best safari destinations outside of Africa - home to exotic wilderness and barefoot luxury experiences right on the beaches of the Indian Ocean.
We stayed Uga Chena Huts game lodge and were wowed by their excellent service, spacious accommodations, all with private plunge pools, and two thrilling game drives in Yala National Park.
Yala is Sri Lanka’s most famous nature reserve. The jeeps can enter the park at 6am and must be out of the park by 6pm. The rest of the time the 321 acres belong to the wildlife. The landscape is beautiful - consisting of light forests, scrubs, grasslands, lotus ponds, brackish lagoons, big rocks and wild rugged coastline. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammals and 215 bird species and it boasts the highest density of leopards 🐆 per sq. km. Spotting those magnificent cats requires patience and luck!
And luck was on our side! We spotted not just one, but two, leopards lounging in trees. Too far away for photos but close enough you feel the thrill of the encounter and observe through binoculars.
We also had magical encounters with elephants, buffalo, spotted deer, crocodiles, mongooses among many other creatures.
Uga’s Chena Huts was a great place to return to or to spend the day. The pool, the spa and the lounge and bar spaces are an oasis from the heat of the day. Chena’s position in nature means that you may even see a herd of elephants walking on the beach.
The signature sundowner experiences are a delight. The food is delicious. Cocktails are expertly made and the setting on the dunes by the crashing waves was enjoyed by all. The signature bonfire dinner was also a gorgeous treat.
Thank you Ugas and for hosting us. A huge thanks to CUURATEfor being amazing and the best DMC for Sri Lanka.

Days 3 & 4 of our Sardinia FAM with Italy with Class - Bespoke Travel brought us village art, exquisite food, breathtaking views, time on the water, more wine-tasting and sunrises like no other as we also stayed with our partner hotel, the beautiful and well-located Hotel Abi D'Oru which sits around the corner from Porto Rotondo.

We left the Barbagia region to venture to Orgosolo; a local village known for fantastic murals throughout depicting everything from daily life to historical moments to political statements. It was fantastic! We then went to , a small hotel retreat where we partook in a cooking class making semolina gnocchi and classic Sardinian cookies, acciuleddi. After indulging in this delicious lunch, with a glass of rosé (of course), we headed onwards to a true highlight of the trip, to Costa Smeralda, to check into the lovely, luxurious and well-located, !

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just 4km from Porto Rotondo, a charming and quaint village on the water boasting local Sardinian shops and restaurants, with the opportunity to admire world-class yachts. The hotel is perfect for couple or families, those seeking a proper vacation of sun-bathing, gastronomic indulgence and lazy days in or on the water, as the beachfront of the hotel has crystal clear blue waters, that if photographed and filmed alone, one would think is a swimming pool instead of the sea. Abi D’Oru, meaning “the golden bee”, is independently-owned, with a hyper-focus on excellent service, comfortable rooms and the most gorgeous sunrises you might ever witness (and recently became Virtuoso!). We dined both nights here; one night with fine-dining, and the other as a pizza night, and both meals had us all salivating for more. Our wonderful DOS, is the most hospitable, and we enjoyed being with him throughout our days!

On our second day in this gorgeous area, we had a boat day…because boat days are the best days…and even though we are a bit early, we still dipped in the gorgeous waters and enjoyed sunshine and a lovely lunch prepared for us by ! Just the best way to spend the day!

We ended our day with a tour of the vineyards and wine-tasting. This winery specializes in Vermentino (a personal favorite of mine), and the tasting was outdoors, and honestly, just so sophisticated and beautiful. We absolutely enjoyed our time here.
We did a quick stop on Porto Cervo to walk the Piazza, which is filled with all of the luxury brands one would suspect in this chic village. We headed back to the hotel for pizza and gelato (perfect after this exciting day), and fell into bed.

Finally, Sigiriya!

It’s perhaps the most photographed site in Sri Lanka, a magnificent ancient stone fortress rising 600 feet from the surrounding forest and paddy fields.

We were already in awe of Sigiriya and then learned that this place has it all - natural grandeur, drama and royal intrigue.

Known as the Lion’s Rock, Sigiriya is geologically an inselberg, made of hard volcanic rock dating back 2,500 million years.

What sets it apart are the ruins of a royal palace from the 5th century perched atop the rock, accessible by a winding stone staircase.

We started early to avoid crowds and heat, exploring the museum, strolling through the water gardens, and climbing the 1,270 steps to the summit.

Half way to the top are the magnificent carved lion’s paws with claws, remnants of the carved guardian lion.

The panoramic views from the summit are breathtaking, offering a 360-degree vista of the jungle below. The ruins on top feature well preserved structures, platforms, pools, ponds, and even the royal throne carved out of rock.

After our ascent, we saw the nearby hotel, with its stunning view of Sigiriya rock. Following a site inspection, we participated in a cooking demonstration and enjoyed a delightful meal.

Later, we journeyed to W15 Hanthana hotel, a charming 9-room property nestled amidst rolling tea plantations and verdant forests. The colonial-inspired hotel features breathtaking views from its terrace and offers all-inclusive amenities, including afternoon tea and cocktail hour. Here we got to take an absolutely epic Vanity Fair style photo.

We also tried some of the signature activities - the jeep ride and the naturalist hike.

It is said that travel is the thing you buy that makes you richer - this day in Sri Lanka was a beautiful example of this!

We set off from for the day to explore Anuradhapura, one of the world’s most spectacular ancient spiritual sites and the first capital of Sri Lanka established in the 4th century B.C. Anuradhapura flourished for 1,400 years and remained the royal seat for 113 kings.

We were in awe of this well planned city complex. The city’s stupas were amongst the biggest ever attempted in the ancient world, and are second in size only to the great pyramids of Giza.

Buddhist culture flourished here and remains Sri Lanka’s predominant faith. The spiritual heart of the area is the Sri Maha Bodhi temple, built around the oldest living tree in the world, grown from a 2,200-year-old cutting of the Bodhi tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment.

It is very special to be in Sri Lanka during the most significant Buddhist festival of Vesak! Walking through these sacred sites we saw many local families, with flowers and dressed in white, coming to worship, pay their respects and seek blessings for various life events like marriages, births, and health.

In the afternoon we returned to Uga Ulagalla to learn about their wonderful elephant research center and experience an authentic “Kamatha” meal accompanied by a cultural song and dance performance. The dinner table was set in a gorgeous dining pavilion amidst rice paddies and prepared with vegetables from the hotel’s farm. The female cooks from the village have become award winning chefs and hosts. We could taste the love and skill in the food.

The folk music and dances performed with such joy, spirit and good humor made this whole day feel complete! Thank you for organizing this unforgettable experience for us.
