Excuse my dust and crazy hair. It's a hot one out here and sanding is a dirty process so I'm not wearing my Sunday finest lol.
The newest addition to the bar will be our Pit Droid! Here's just a small bit of what goes into making one. We've already 3D printed the parts over winter so now we are ready to start sanding! It's a tedious process but it looks cool when it's all done.

Motor City Comic Con here we come!! In case you haven't noticed we're big Star Wars fans. So we're pretty excited that some of our favorites are coming to a con close to us!!

I started coming to this comicon 3 years now and it's been growing. My husband asked me if I wanted to join him and made me a low key simple cosplay as Bo-katan to see if I would even like going. Much to my surprise I did! I thoroughly enjoy seeing everyones hard work, the ART!, and how creative people can be. Not to mention the friends we've made a long the way.
This con is still considered small in the comicon world but they have been starting to pull bigger names and bigger crowds. Last year they had a Doctor Who reunion with the Ponds and 11! The people are great and the crowds are manageable l.

I never thought I'd be one to get dressed up and go to a comic-con but here I am! I've met amazing talented people by stepping outside my comfort zone!
Also meeting up with friends we made while on the Galactic Starcruiser!
On the floor they have artist booths, vendors, and yes people in cosplay. Throughout the day they will have panels on various topics, as well as autographs and pictures with your favorite characters. If you need a break from the people you can take a step outside or head to the family zone where it's a little more calm.
Not to mention Chicago is filled with a plethora of things to see and do and EAT! I've still yet to get a pizza here tho 😭 The museums and aquarium are our favorite places to check out when we go here.

The Slippery Sarlac is getting a floor! It's been a work in progress (and away will be) but it's really starting to come together!!!
We used peel and stick tiles for the floor and got most of it done in about an hour. It was really easy to use. Now to wait for the rest of our tiles to come in so we can finish it and move the furniture back in!
We can't wait to start hosting and having movie and game nights! We 100% went to Oga's Cantina to get inspiration for the bar tap and color scheme nod to the Sublight lounge. We are ready on deck with sabac!

This was one of our favorite areas here. The plants were beautiful and we really enjoyed playing with the water. I mean who doesn't!?
