Our "Cast & Blast" trips offer a rare chance to experience the best of rafting, hunting, fishing, hiking and exploring the Idaho Wilderness. Whether you’re a seasoned outdoorsman or new to the sport, this trip promises an unforgettable adventure. Two mild winters in a row have been very kind to the Chukar population, and we've seen HUNDREDS of birds this summer, so this trip on opening weekend is going to be a blast!

Best river shower ever

Snaking through impressive granite canyons and gorges, including the Impassable Canyon, the Middle Fork drops 3000 feet on its journey to the Main Salmon River. The Middle Fork starts as a small, crystal-clear alpine stream and steadily swells as over 100 tributaries join the river, changing it from narrow and rocky to wide and open. The lower portion of the canyon is characterized by fun, splashy rapids, beautiful pools, and swimming holes.

Our first Middle Fork trip launched today. Our guides braved Boundary Creek Road, and deadheaded the boats to Indian Creek to meet our guests who flew into the backcountry.

This year our first trip is a Wilderness First Responder course with and We are so excited for this specialty trip and to crush some big water!

August on the Middle Fork!

Here are a few reasons to love late summer river trips:

🦆 As we get into the late summer, the water levels drop. The slower water is super fun to paddle, warmer, and largely class II and III. Break out the inflatable kayaks!

🎣 Fishing is excellent!

🥂 Kiddos head back to school. Our mid to late August trips tend to have a more adult vibe, which is perfect for some of our guests.

🛩 We take a scenic backcountry flight to the river. This is an awesome experience! We then travel 75 miles at a relaxed pace.
