The Stockdale Foundation announced today it will be holding its 2nd Fundraising event Thursday, May 17, 2012. The fundraiser will be held at the JM Lexus (http://www.jm-lexus.com/) showroom in Margate, FL, and will feature a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament and Casino-style Table Games, presented by Pilgrim Studios (http://www.pilgrimstudios.com/) in association with Harriet Tatum Brown.
$25,000.00 in prizes will be awarded to the final table participants, and there will be multiple raffle prizes available to bid on. Food and drinks will be available. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet several local "Miss Florida" contestants, a surprise former Miami Dolphins great, current Miami Dolphins fan-favorites and other local celebrities.
According to Martin Stockdale, President of The Stockdale Foundation, the goal of the event is to provide the foundation the financial means to significantly increase the number scholarships awarded each year. "Right now we can award one scholarship per year," states Stockdale. "We'd like to see that number jump up to 15 or 20 in 2012."

The Stockdale Foundation (http://www.thestockdalefoundation.org/) was formed to honor the memory of Nicole Lynn Stockdale, who was tragically killed in an accident April 15, 2008. The purpose of The Stockdale Foundation is to raise money and provide scholarships to deserving students who have elected to continue their education at a technical or vocational school. The Stockdale Foundation is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a certified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.
