For one of the stops on our River cruise, we chose to take a leisurely ride through a valley on a steam train. This was the old fashioned coal type, but provided some amazing views! Now imagine this in the early summer with all the blooms!

Vienne, France, boasts a rich Roman heritage, evident in its stunning buildings and structures. The city’s Roman theater, a well-preserved marvel, stands as a testament to the architectural prowess of the ancient Romans. I got to see it from Piper hill, where the view of the town and the Rhone River were breathtaking.

Walking through Vienne, one can admire the remnants of Roman baths, temples, and bridges, each telling a story of a bygone era. These historical treasures not only showcase the city’s past but also offer visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of Roman civilization.

Remember in Hamilton…”what did I miss?” This is where Thomas Jefferson was during his tenure as the United States Minister to France from 1785 to 1789. Jefferson was known to appreciate the classical Roman architecture present in Vienne, which influenced his architectural tastes. His time in France allowed him to observe and study European culture and architecture, which later influenced his designs for buildings such as Monticello in Virginia.

The most amazing thing about river cruises is that you pull up to the actual cities instead of being shuttled into them from the ocean port. Look at all of these different views we’ve had the blessing to have this week from our ship along the Rhone river in Provence France.

Today’s tour took me through the Beaujolais wine region, the Pays d’Or (land of the golden stones), named for the ochre limestone of its homes and castles. The region is undisputedly famed for its fruity red wines, but not only the wine lovers will get their money’s worth. This region has so much more to
offer! Come on a Rhone River cruise and discover this land of streams, granite peaks, pastures, and forests with AMA waterways.

Lyon, France, is known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and delicious cuisine. You would love to visit Lyon to explore its beautiful architecture, enjoy its gastronomic delights, and soak in the charming atmosphere. We boarded our ship here and were able to do a walking tour of the city. Started at the Notre Dame (many churches use this name in France) and then walked down from there. After the hike down we got to explore the town and all the local delicacies.

Well, I wouldn’t suggest this for first time visitors, doing all four parks in one day, at Disney World is amazing. When you just want to hit the highlights and your favorites This is a way to do it.Here’s what we did: 530 wake up for 630 Uber. 645 bag drop at hotel. 7 am bus to animal kingdom….Grabbed Tron virtual queue, Purchased flight of passage and guardians, & Grabbed LL for Expedition Everest. 8 am in the park 830 safari (not guaranteed to open until 9). Watched the meerkats and gorillas for a bit. Rode expedition Everest (grabbed space mountain LL). Rode flight of passage. Bus to magic kingdom. Rode space mountain (grabbed tower of terror) Lunch at skipper cantina. got coffee and rode the railroad. After two hours we were able to pick another lightning lane, so we grabbed soaring. Saw Tiki tiki room. Waited around for Tron a little bit. 330 PM Rode tron. Took a bus to Hollywood Studios. Got a drink. Rode the tower of terror. Took the Skyliner to Caribbean Beach and realized it wasn’t going to Epcot, so rode it back to Hollywood Studios (Travel Agent steered me wrong lol #itsmehiimtheproblemitsme). Took a boat to the Swan and dolphin. Walked to Epcot. Rode guardians of the Galaxy then decided to skip soaring and drank and ate around the world. Blue hole Jamaica

Spent my 43rd birthday at the Blue Hole in Jamaica. 10/10 recommended! Much less crowded than the traditional Dunns river falls. The guides were amazing and helped us along the way, but we didn’t have to hold anyone’s hands 😂 #iykyk there were different levels of jumps, so you could go at your own pace and comfort level.
