Whew, the end of summer was a whirlwind! We got our kiddos back to school and then went out to California for a birthday celebration for my husband! We checked out Carmel by the Sea, Point Lobos, Carmel Valley Ranch and the tasting rooms in the Carmel Valley, made the drive down to Big Sur, did a few incredible hikes, and totally relaxed at the amazing all-inclusive Alila Ventana Big Sur. With all the hype about Europe and globetrotting, it's easy to forget that we have some incredible destinations right in our own back yard!!

I know it may sounds crazy to some, but I'm already working on a few Europe trips for next June. Planing 9+ months in advance allows me to present the most options to you and allows us both time to think about your itinerary and not feel rushed with decisions. Florence remains high on Europe bucket lists, so I'm sharing a little guide about this amazing city. Don't mind the cold? January - April is the perfect time to visit without as many tourists.

Just back from a magical trip to Spain with our girls! We visited the Costa Brava (90 minutes north of Barcelona), the island of Mallorca, and Madrid! From Mediterranean food to beautiful beaches to charming historical towns, I can't say enough about these incredible destinations!

Craving a Caribbean getaway but don’t have a passport? Check out the Fairmont Puerto Rico! The Banyan Bungalows are gorgeous and they have a sunken tub with a glass ceiling, so it feels like you’re outdoors. The Bungalows are separate from the main hotel.

We spent spring break on the island of Aruba which is located in the southern Caribbean almost in South America. I love that all the Caribbean islands are a little different but it can be hard to figure out which one is the right match for you.

Aruba is good for families, groups, or couples looking for an atmosphere that is lively and developed with local restaurants, consistent weather (hot year round and outside the typical hurricane belt) with calm, clear, seaweed free beaches. You can walk everywhere from the main strip and don't need a rental car.

Aruba is not good for people looking for quiet, secluded, or intimate hotels that are close to nature. It's not a good choice for all-inclusive options or super fresh/lux hotels (although a brand new St. Regis is coming).
