The tradition of Super Bowl champions visiting Disney Parks began in 1987. After leading the New York Giants to victory in Super Bowl XXI, quarterback Phil Simms became the first to exclaim, “I’m going to Disney World!” He was reportedly paid $50,000 for this endorsement and participated in a celebratory parade at the Magic Kingdom. 

Since then, this post-Super Bowl celebration has become a cherished tradition. Typically, the game’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) or other standout players visit either Walt Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California the day after the game. They often participate in parades alongside Disney characters, celebrating their victory with fans. 

Over the years, numerous Super Bowl champions have continued this tradition. For instance, in 2024, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrated his team’s win at Disneyland. Similarly, in 2025, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his fiancée Bry Burrows visited Disney World following their Super Bowl victory.  

This enduring partnership between the NFL and Disney has become an iconic part of Super Bowl celebrations, delighting both players and fans for decades.
