2022 Christmas & New Year’s cruise aboard the Emerald Princess.
We did the Panama Canal Railway excursion on Wednesday (December 28). They took us by bus from the Pacific side to the Agua Clara Locks (Atlantic side) visitor center. Then we boarded the train which took us back along the Canal to the Pacific side.
The following day our ship entered the Panama Canal from the Pacific side (southeast) exiting into the Atlantic (northwest) in the Caribbean Sea. These are the newer locks built by Panama that run adjacent to the original Locks. The Emerald Princess is too large to go through the original Locks. The Cocoli Locks are the Pacific side and the Agua Clara Locks are the Atlantic side. These raise and lower the ships 85 feet in and out of the Canal.

Thanksgiving Cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras.
For those wanting to cruise that have not been vaccinated, those restrictions have been lifted along with testing for almost all cruise lines right now.
Only a few ports of call, still require the vaccine.

Disney just announced some changes to Genie +

Disney Genie+ service continues to be very popular among our guests. As we continue to manage the strong demand we are seeing for this service, we are introducing variable pricing for Disney Genie+, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 11.

At Disneyland Resort, Disney Genie+ will now be $25 per day when purchased in advance as an add-on with a new ticket or vacation packages. Single-day purchases for Disney Genie+ through the Disneyland app will begin at $25 per day, and may vary by date, based on demand.

Additionally, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure at Disney’s California Adventure Park is now part of Disney Genie+, providing guests with even more options to choose from when using this service.

At Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Genie+ will also vary in price based on the date a guest is visiting. Similar to theme park tickets, throughout the year, prices may be lower on less busy days and higher during peak periods like Thanksgiving and Christmas. For example, now through the end of October, prices will be $15 per Guest, per day on less busy dates, $22 on some of our busier dates, and somewhere in between on other dates (plus tax; prices subject to change beyond October).

Action the past couple days included Animal Kingdom and Epcot which did include some repeat attractions along with repeat visits for food at La Creperie(Epcot)and Via Napoli(Epcot). Also Les Chefs de France (Epcot), Sanaa (Animal Kingdom Lodge), and Rose & Crown (Epcot). Not counting the food kiosks for the Food & Wine festival in Epcot. Yes we like eating in Epcot!
We hit Ratatouille and Guardians again in Epcot.
In Animal Kingdom we hit the main stuff all prior to noon.

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, July 1 marks the start of nightly fireworks performances at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. “Happily Ever After” will transform Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics, as moments from favorite Disney stories encourage Guests to grab hold of their dreams and make them come true. And as part of the ongoing transformation of EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will produce a spectacle of fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present and future.

As Disneyland Park in California welcomes back all guests, the fun starts July 4 with “Mickey’s Mix Magic” presented nightly throughout the summer. State-of-the-art projections, show lighting and lasers will transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world” into a dazzling, family fun dance party that goes sky high with fireworks to celebrate the leader of the club, Mickey Mouse.
