This is a honey bee. The pollen on her legs is from dandelions. Her tongue is sticking out due to what killed her that was on the dandelions. Dandelions are the bees first food. This bee is dead from w**d killer spread on what we see as w**ds, but what nature sees as food. Please don’t spray for w**ds until you see the blackberries blooming. In some areas, w**ds, flowers and fruit trees are bees only source of food. There are FAR more w**ds than flowers or fruit trees, so it's their only food source. No bees, no food crops for us and we all starve.

Here's an article that profiles the current situation on the dairy farms and dairy industry that we have -- it provides good insight into the situation overall -- a good read on a not-so-good situation -- I'm not sure what the best answers are, but things are out of balance for sure -- and of course, it is all dollar and bottom line driven -- let's see what we learn and take away from it all and then apply to the situation to try and make things better -- our small farms are our small towns -- let's figure this out -- I've gone back to drinking whole milk and love it --

A message from one of our local farm workers which requested we post this....

"We, as many, are battling to get the crops out --as this is the first sunshine we've had in almost a week! The last rain pretty well did in any potential dry spots...and made the already-mucky, melting snow covered spots even worse. We are so grateful for your patience-- loading on the road is typically a last resort, but may be necessary right now. Yes, it will be a bit muddy. Yes, you will have to wait an extra 5 minutes while we unload. Please remain out of the blind spots. We are doing the best we can to safely complete this task. Pray for everyone trying to safely maneuver yet another obstacle in this lovely 2019 growing season!! " 🙏
