Since the first day we arrived and I found peonies at the market in Saint Rémy to today’s visit to Saint Paul de Mausole, I’ve seen spring flowers popping up everywhere here in Provence. It’s no wonder artists have always flocked to this region. There’s so much beauty to be seen and experienced.

Back on the Boules court! With roses bushes and olive trees, it’s perhaps the prettiest setting anywhere for a rousing game of Pétanque. As always, we paused competition now and then for l’Apero - sips and nibbles of Provencal specialties.

We love a good surprise on our tours and yesterday’s was a visit to the sweetest family-run goat cheese farm, where we milked the goats, tasted the milk, leaned all about the process of making chèvre, and then got to hold two-day-old kids! “I can go home now,” said guest Jean. “This day has already been amazing.” 🇫🇷

We’re back in Les Baux, aptly designated “one of the most beautiful villages in France.” Around every corner, down every winding path is a picture-perfect view or vignette. Best of all, the sun reappeared, just as it always does in la belle Provence. 🇫🇷

New Year, New Adventure!

I'm excited to share that MMT will be co-hosting a different type of adventure this coming March, a three-day women's retreat in beautiful Beaufort, SC. I am partnering with Joan Paul, founder of "Her Next Act," a community of bright, thoughtful women who are navigating their fifties, sixties, and beyond, looking for their "next act" - perhaps penning a novel, diving into adventure travel, volunteering at home or abroad, or pursuing another project or passion.

The Beaufort experience will feature hyper-local experiences (guided walking tour, sunset cruise with a local naturalist, private tour of the Pat Conroy Literary Center), a taste of place (Lowcountry cuisine), conversations with inspiring, accomplished local women (author, chef, travel expert), and plenty of opportunities for mingling among like-minded women. If this piques your interest, let us know. We have a few spots left!

Below is a photo of the elegant, historic Rhett House Inn in downtown Beaufort, where we'll stay and gather each day. Other photos were taken during the HNA retreat last fall in Essex, Ct. Joan Paul hosted the retreat at the Griswold Inn, which she owns with her husband, Doug. It was so successful that attendees asked for an encore!

Happy Thanksgiving!

As we prepare to gather around our table, Bernard and I would like to pause for a moment to say how grateful we are to our MMT community.

We are still walking on clouds from the beautiful, joyful adventures we shared with many of you this year in Provence - and we look forward to creating new memories with both repeat guests (May 2024 and ‘25!) and newcomers. A million heartfelt mercis for choosing to travel with us. 🙏❤️

Other highlights of our sojourn in the Southwest included a fascinating tour of Taliesin West, a stop at the cool new music museum, “MIM,” and a wonderful visit with dear friend and Provence guest (last May and next May!), Sally Nowak. Thanks to Bernard for providing the impetus for this trip since the Grand Canyon has been on his bucket list for literally decades! ❤️

Quelle belle journée! It started in Montpellier with ma belle, belle mère Monique (two belles intended), involved a quick bakery run with pal Charlotte, then a speedy, scenic journey by train to Paris just in time for a sunset stroll and evening concert at the exquisite Sainte Chapelle. 🇫🇷❤️
