Summertime has quickly approached but that doesn't keep Riley's Place from feeling a bone-chilling 65°indooors and don't worry we offer throw blankets for the others. Riley's is great and so is the need for week-long escapes or visits. Last year half of our guests were from southern visitors coming back to visit family. Riley’s Place showing support for our two fallen officers this past week who made the ultimate sacrifice on the job. Always grateful for our officers and First Responders who risked their lives and kept our communities safe. These two men certainly loved their fellow officers and their communities. Al neighbors and I are forever saddened by everyone's loss and grateful to those in this profession.

When you stay with us at Rileys Place you also are only 3 miles from what locals call "Our hidden gem!" Green Lakes State Park. It's noted for the two glacier-made lakes, beach, camping grounds miles upon miles of trails, and nature. In addition, it has a beautiful challenging 18-hole golf course by renowned Robert Trent Jones. It really is a very well-kept course and properly groomed. Take a break at its restaurant overlooking the whole park and view for 50 miles. I loved seeing this wintertime picture!

Green Lake fact of the day: Despite its relatively small size (a trail around the lake runs only 1.9 miles), Green Lake has a maximum depth of 195 feet!

Lucky, Grateful, and Humbled! As we go through tax season reports and typing in the names of all those who stayed for reporting purposes... brings a smile to all those who we had the pleasure of hosting again last year, and remembering something about each of your visits. Riley's Place is humbled by the many visitors who came through during this Summer; whether visiting family, attending a wedding, traveling through, or attending our local school alumni reunion. Thankful to a recent guest for sharing what it meant to stay in their old neighborhood and relive some memories. Looking forward to others who will be enjoying the region's beautiful Fall season and also creating memories of their own.

Susan 10/'21 - Wow, wow wow! I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is a beautiful, clean and cozy house. I highly recommend if you are in the Syracuse area. The place has everything you could possibly need. Super comfortable beds. The host was awesome at responding and left very clear instructions. The backyard is HUGE! We will definitely stay here again

Kelly 10/'21 - What a welcoming and beautiful home! Although centrally located, this house feels so private and peaceful. It is very, very clean and spacious, and Kevin had left wonderful welcoming gifts for us as well as the basics that travelers need! We certainly felt like this was home away from home and will stay here again when we visit the Syracuse area.

Marco 10/'21 - Kevin and Valerie are true Superhosts. Their home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. From the fully stocked kitchen to games and movies for the young ones. The home is spotless, in great condition, and everything just works extremely well. We've stayed here twice and already have a future trip booked. I highly recommend giving Riley's place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Riley's Place has some of the greatest Guests >

Riley's place was the perfect home for our visit to see our daughter and have a family Easter weekend. Kevin and Valerie have thought of everything! The kitchen is very well equipped allowing me to bake and cook for our Eater feast! Their home is sparkling clean and the attention to detail is beyond any airbnb I have visited. Their goal is to provide a "home away from home" and they have mastered this. My husband worked from the comfortable desk and the wifi supported all his Zoom conferences. This is THE place to stay in Syracuse! From recommendations to fresh flowers, dog welcoming, and great communication, we will be back

Winter is almost over here in Syracuse but there is always something to do outdoors. Highland Park is still offering sleigh rides, but have to act fast and reserve a spot and before mother nature melts it all. Thankful for all the wonderful guests who stay.
