As we wait to update our site with 2025 dates etc. we’d like to remind you, our previous guests, employees and friends have also started guiding businesses in Central Hokkaido. We’re not sure if they have insurance, guide certifications or reputable western accommodations but they offer cheaper options. We’re not the cheapest for a reason. But Alkaline Lodge , .jp Powder Dan, etc. etc. all provide a cheaper service as well. Weigh your options and happy to share perspectives when booking in Central Hokkaido. We’re not for everyone for a reason. But if you’re an intermediate or want to check “Japow” off your list please contact our competitors. You’ll get a deal. We don’t take anyone they do. Keep the change.

If you know me, then you know about my love affair with trees. They inspire me in so many different ways. So you can imagine the excitement when trekking through the snow on a very cold and blustery day to behold this archway of an eroding riverbank. Life is finite, snow is finite, and especially so is this landmark soon to be swept away. Thus makes this photograph ever so dear to me. An honour to see it in print and shared with our snowboarding community!
