Travel Advisors Day is celebrated on May 1st every year. It was first recognized in 2019 as a day to acknowledge the important role that travel advisors play in the travel industry. The day is sponsored by ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisors), and it's a great opportunity to show appreciation for travel advisors and the valuable services they provide.

Here are some key statistics that highlight the importance of Travel Advisors:

1. In 2019, ASTA reported that 74% of travelers prefer to work with a travel advisor when booking a trip.
2. According to a survey by MMGY Global, 51% of travelers rely on travel advisors for recommendations and advice when planning a trip.
3. The same survey found that 45% of travelers believe that travel advisors offer valuable expertise and knowledge that they can't find online.

Well my friends, high season has officially started in the Caribbean, especially for Jamaica and Cancun!!

I have some tips to share during this very and extremely busy holdiay season travel...

1. Pack your patience. You will likely need a lot of if, but if not, it’s free and easy to pack. It doesn’t take up much space, but can make the difference between an easy or rough start to your vacation!

2. Try to get seats in the front of the plane, and when you get off the plane, especially if it’s a big one-hustle! If flying Southwest, pay for early bird!

3. Once you get off the plane, if needed, visit the first washroom that you see. Or use the restroom on the plane before you deplane.

4. Bring snacks and a water bottle. This will be helpful during a lengthy wait for checked baggage.

5. Expect to get baggage searched. They are searching more people than ever.

If you can, only bring a carry-on. It will save time, money and lots of frustration.

6. Expect delays. With weather and the sheer number of planes flying in and out this time of the year, they are inevitable.

For those traveling throughout the holiday season, safe travels and enjoy to the fullest!

Given the current situation in Israel, we are doing the utmost to bring passengers home and to assist passengers of other airlines that have had their flights canceled. We have also adjusted our prices due to current events:

- Flights to destinations up to two hours from Israel - up to $299 one way.
- Flights to destinations between two to six hours from Israel - up to $499 one way.
- Flights to destinations six-plus hours from Israel - up to $899 one way.

We are also extending our policy, as published when the situation began, that allows for flexibility of canceling or changing dates and/or destinations without change fees or additional costs.
