Dedicated to a Woman in love and those that suffer broken relationships! I care! And most of all Jesus cares and wraps you up in his loving arms
What my job means to me….Blessed to have been in the Tanning & Travel Industry for almost 24 years. I have met so many wonderful people and been able to share with them friendship and a heart open to their joy, pains and sorrows. I love my customers and although I am not a certified Counselor, I have listened to the pains of broken relationships, loss of loved ones, loss of jobs, and the joys of love, children and Grandchildren. I don’t ever give advice, just an ear to listen, an occasional hug and as many prayers as I can offer. I can relate to the joy of love and the loss of it, the joy of children and the loss of a child, the love of parents and the loss of them, fantastic friends and losing them… Memories are a legacy of love….
I recently had a young woman that came into my office and had been in a relationship for a couple of years and obviously very much in love with this man – this story broke my heart. I remember when they first started seeing one another and the sparkle in her eyes and the glow on her face. And suddenly, he no longer called and stopped by or brought her sweet little surprises and disappeared from her life – there was no closure. The hurt of this woman has touched me so deeply that I had to write a poem – something I have done for years to get thru the difficult times – very therapeutic! And, have shared that with only a few – Although, I don’t claim to be a Poet or a Counsellor – I Just have a loving heart for people that can share their love and pain and of course my love for rescue animals.
I am dedicating this poem to her, written on a midnight shift. May I suggest that if you are in a relationship and want ‘out’, that you have the decency to share your feelings with that person – everyone needs closure. At least elementary school kids have the decency to text when they are ‘breaking up’.
I hope that I might reach someone going thru pain and offer my prayers and a rainbow after the storm!
SURVIVAL OF A HEARTBREAK
How do you mend a broken heart
When your lover has torn you apart –
No more warm embraces
Left are only traces
Of memories we shared
Yes, my Darling, I do still care
It’s you I miss
The feel of your skin, your passionate kiss
The longing for your touch
Which to me means so much
Was it love we shared?
Or only moments that we dared –
Promises to stay out of your life
Cuts thru me like a sharp knife
There’s so much I wanted to say
But, when does the hurt go away…..
My love and prayers go with you!
May God truly Bless you!
