97-year-old heirloom 10 karat Victorian darling baby ring recovered and returned! A small ring makes a big hit for the day. Tough little ring to locate at just 3 mm wide for the band and approximately a size 1.

Scott, Alicia, and their little family made the almost 4-hour drive back to Alicia's hometown to visit family. While spending time with family at a local State Park, Alicia was presented with her Grandmother's 97-year-old Victorian Darling Infant Ring as a keepsake for her daughter Noelle, named after her Great-Grandmother. The 10 kt. ring was placed on the baby's finger and photos were taken. The ring was too large for Noelle's tiny finger and fell off. Alicia and her older children hunted the grassy area where they thought the ring had fallen and weren't able to locate the ring.

Alicia was in my wife's Girl Scout Troop years ago and she has seen posts on my wife's page about my ring returns. A distraught Alicia contacted my wife to see if I was able to come out to the park and find the ring. I grabbed my Manticore, pin pointer, and other gear and we went to the State Park to see if I could locate the ring. Alicia was able to show me the roughly 20 x 20' area where the ring had fallen. After swinging for about 45 minutes, I was able to find the tiny little treasure and hand it back to the very relieved mother!

Dave graduated from Memorial high School in Saint Mary's Ohio with the class of 1966. He lost his class ring shortly after. Today, Dave (age 74) is the class historian and had not seen his class ring in more than 50 years. He had long ago given up hope of seeing it again and had forgotten about it. Today, through teamwork, Dave has been reunited with his lost class ring. Today the class historian was surprised with a piece of his own history! Another happy ending!

14k white gold heirloom ring recovered and returned Coldwater, Ohio

Andrew's mother contacted me recently in the hopes that a lost 14k white gold heirloom ring could be found. Andrew had lost the ring during an outside gym class session on some practice fields that amounted to the area of about 1-1/2 football fields.

That's a lot of area to cover when you're looking for an item about the size of a nickel. Obviously, an area like this is easier to cover and able to be covered very methodically if you can get a couple of people working a grid pattern. I contacted a friend (Travis) and we headed out to try and locate the ring. After about 4-1/2 hours of searching with no ring to show and a storm blowing in we made plans to come back another day to finish covering the area in hopes of being able to reunite the owner with their lost ring.

Andrew was very close with his grandmother and the ring had been passed down to him when his grandmother passed away in December. He wore the ring on his pinky finger to feel close to his grandmother. We knew he was very sad to have lost the ring and that it was such a sentimental item that we were trying to do everything we could to cover the area and locate his missing ring.

We made a return trip to finish covering the area and hopefully recover his missing ring for him. After a little over an hour of searching, we were able to locate the ring!

We messaged Andrew right away! Unfortunately, Andrew was out of town and was unable to be there for a photo and to take possession of his ring. He did however call his mother, who was more than happy to come down and accept the ring on his behalf! Knowing that there had been more than two dozen people walking around trying to locate the item prior to us searching, and numerous sports practice sessions, Andrew's mother thought that it was a miracle that we were even able to locate his ring. She had warned him that wearing his grandmother's ring could result in it being lost, as was the case, but it has now been located and returned to it's rightful owner! It has been put up so that this sentimental family heirloom will not be lost again. A needle in a haystack really can be found! Another ring returned, another successful search thanks to teamwork, and another happy ending! We were very glad to see the ring turn up and to see it returned!

I was asked earlier today if I thought I could locate a well dug in 1956. It had been giving the property owners some problems and after calling the County they found out the county had no record of its location. The property owners thought they had a fairly good idea of where it may be based on information from the previous owners. Looking at the lay of the land there was really no indication such as depression in the ground or anything like that to even give it clue. About 45 minutes later we had uncovered what they were hoping to locate.

Another successful recovery of sorts! 9/22/21

Another successful search and more happy people!

It's not always about lost items such as keys or jewelry. Many different things are lost, misplaced or forgotten and need located. John and Ellen were hoping to have their property markers located. I brought along a couple of sections of blue piping to help mark them more clearly. First marker located right off the bat. Second one took a few minutes longer. Both were found and marked! It's always worth a shot!

Another successful return and another happy person!

Was contacted this afternoon because Elaina could not find her keys that someone had buried on the beach. After arriving at the location and beginning to search she had her keys back in just a few minutes! Also got to clean up the environment a bit. First Target was a fork. Ouch! Glad someone did not step on it. Be careful out there..

We had to put a team on the ground yesterday. (myself, Tam, Andy and Cayden) Jim of Jim's Forever Inc. formally Jim's Harley Davidson had lost some very important keys while mowing a 3.5 acre lot. With complete confidence in the team, we hit the large area with everything we had. An hour and a half later the keys were successfully recovered and returned by this little guy! Congratulations Cayden! Great teamwork everyone! Another happy and successful return.

Sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding band returned!

Debbie lost her beautiful, custom Sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding ring while working in her flower bed and yard near Indian Lake(4/26). She was absolutely devastated losing this custom piece. Along with her husband Danny, they both tried looking for it for a couple of days. They checked yard clippings, the trash, Danny even purchased a metal detector himself to try and locate the ring with no luck.

Danny contacted me (4/28) and explained the situation to me in the hopes that I could help. We made plans to meet up Saturday afternoon (5/1).

I arrived at their home where Danny related the story of what had happened that day once again while I looked things over a bit. After the information he had given me, not even 3 minutes into the search Debbie's Sapphire and diamond arthritic wedding band had been recovered!

After a quick photo of the Ring, it was turned over to Danny so he could place it back on Debbie's hand once again. Debbie and Danny both did an excellent job of remembering details and putting me right into the hotspot of the search area. That's why this ring was recovered so quickly. I'm very happy to see another happy ending and another great story continuing with a beautiful piece such as this! Bonus is that my wife and I got to meet some extremely nice people. Great new friends and a happy ending!

RECOVERED AND RETURNED 10/18/20

I was contacted on 10/17/20 by a gentleman who had lost his ring while doing some brush work in the yard and trimming some trees the evening before. After speaking with him for a while and him taking the time to answer many questions from me, we arranged to meet the next afternoon to try and locate his ring. Here are the photos! Needless to say it was a happy ending! 1.25 - 1.5 carat diamond and gold what a beauty! Glad I could help.

Here's a link to the whole story.

12g 10k gold class ring returned!

It is mine! A lost ring returns home for a Christmas surprise!

Please take a moment to read and even watch the videos if you would like. Great story this time of year!

One of my favorite finds as well as return and a story I really enjoy to share this time of the year.

Some years back now I was contacted by a woman hoping that I could locate her son's missing 10k gold class ring that had been missing for roughly six years. He had lost it one day while working on his car. Apparently he had it sitting on the car when he drove away.

Schedules were hectic but we did finally make arrangements to meet at the location. It was Father's day that year. I remember it well. They pointed out the area they thought it had been lost in and I spent some time searching in that area before expanding my search. It took me a few hours, but it was time well spent as it was a successful recovery. They were definitely shocked and surprised to hear the news that I had recovered it.

This is the point in the story where things get interesting. That was on Father's day that year it said I made the recovery. Rather than return it to her son I returned it to her. She then kept the recovery a complete and total secret from her son and waited to present him with a very special surprise.

Fast forward to Christmas that year. Is she wrapped the ring up and had him open it as a Christmas gift stating that it was a one-of-a-kind piece and no one else in the world had the gift he was about to open.

As he opens the gift he is confused. he had just been thinking about his class ring that he had lost years ago a few days before this. The ring in the box looks just like his... but how can it be? After all, he had lost it around six years prior and thought he would never see it again. at first I think he thought it was a replacement and it took some explaining as he realized it was in fact his original ring! He was very pleased!

They explained to him that I had documented the recovery so that he could see how the ring had been recovered. they also took a video of him opening the gift on Christmas so that I can see his reactions myself. Below are a couple of photos of the Ring and initial return as well as the links to the videos of the recovery and the return.

A really great story to share this time of the year! Thank you all for reading, enjoy the videos they are worth the watch. Merry Christmas!

Received a call this morning about a lost pair of eyeglasses that were dropped last night possibly in a fire ring or lost in the yard or edge of a field.

Contacted Home Finder and off we went to do our thing to try and recover the missing glasses. On the scene for maybe 15 minutes tops. Didn't even have to turn the equipment on. The owner has their glasses back and is very happy!

That's what we like to see. Another happy ending!
