Who else could take or leave the inside of the house if the outside is amazing??? 🙋‍♀️

The wrap around couch and fire table is where our family found ourselves, multiple times every day. From sunrise (which is AMAZING) with a cup of coffee, to a book/nap session in the afternoon, and drinks around the fire at night, this was by far the go to spot.

Along with the couch and chairs on the deck, there is a large dining table, so the whole group can comfortably fit together any time of day! 🔥👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Next up is the bunk room AKA The Kite Room!

This house is perfect for families and kids, so we needed a fun place for the kids to retreat to at night. Aside from the photos of kites on the walls, your kiddos will wake up to the view of kites flying in "skylights" on the ceiling.

With double beds on the bottom bunks and twins on the top, this room can fit 6 kids for the ultimate cousin sleepovers! 🌈🔶

Next up on our tour of the new Ocean's Edge listing is the second-floor master bedroom. This might be my favorite bedroom design!

This room is called the "Flip Flop Room". We had a lot of fun picking the colors to pull from the colorful main photo and love the final look of the ocean teal with pops of yellow.

This room is so bright and walks out onto a large deck overlooking the ocean. With a bathroom the size of another bedroom, this is definitely the room guests will be fighting over! 🩴🛀

In honor of National Mom & Pop Business Day, we wanted to share a little bit about how this mom & pop business came to be!

We were both lucky enough to grow up with tight-knit families, celebrating the moments spent on our vacations together. These vacations always ended in constant conversations of owning property where we were traveling, while researching local real estate listings. With Max's steadfast vision for a property in Pittsburg, NH, we turned that dream into reality.

We purchased our property in Pittsburg in September 2023, and immediately hit the ground running, with our goal to consistently perform in the top of our market, through personalized guest interactions, crafting thoughtful listings, and maintaining seamless communication channels.

Joining an online community dedicated to optimizing short-term rentals proved invaluable. From market research insights to tips on creating unique experiences, we soaked up knowledge that would shape our journey. One crucial lesson stood out – the importance of aligning with a premium property management company that shares our values. Unable to find what we were looking for in Pittsburg, we took matters into our own hands, prioritizing excellence every step of the way.

Armed with newfound confidence, we expanded our horizons to Galveston, Texas, drawn by its familial ties and investment potential. After meticulous research, Ocean's Edge became our next venture – a perfect blend of opportunity and adventure.

Our journey with Ocean's Edge marked a turning point, propelling us toward growth and expansion. But amidst our ambitions, one principle remains unwavering: the art of gathering families together. As we continue this exciting journey, our commitment to fostering memorable getaways remains at the heart of everything we do.

Part two of our showcase on creating a stand-out, short-term rental listing!

We gave each of the five bedrooms a theme, based on the custom wall art in each room. This is the "Sandcastle" room. With three photos of sandcastles on the beach, we played off the colors of the ocean, sky and sand to choose the rug and bedding. ⛱

The Sandcastle Room has a separate TV area and deck access facing the ocean. It is the perfect room for a kids movie night while parents take a turn in the game room!

It has only 4 ingredients and is so easy but will taste like you baked all day! Mix the ingredients the night before and bake in the Dutch oven in the morning. Your crew will wake up to the aroma of fresh bread.

The new listing photos are here and they are AMAZING! We are so proud with how this home turned out and cannot wait to share it with other families! Ocean's Edge is beachfront and has 5 bedrooms, a third floor game room, elevator, 11 person swim spa & comes with a golf cart to drive around the Pointe West community.

We pride ourselves on how fully stocked the home is, from kitchen equipment to baby gear to all of the yard and beach games you need to make unforgettable memories with your family!

We are coming in hot for the summer and are ready to start taking on bookings for the year!

The Snowbird team has been hard at work at Ocean's Edge in Galveston. The first major arrival is the 6-seater golf cart that guests have access to when they stay! We cannot wait to show off everything we have been up to!

We still have a decent list of changes and upgrades we still want to make around the house, but here are some before and after pictures from purchase to today.

We removed a couple of beds from the loft and replaced them with a couch and Infinity Game Table to create a second hang out space for larger groups. We swapped out the double beds in the downstairs bedrooms with queen beds and have upgraded some of the mattresses, and all of the bedding.

We are going into the busy winter season and (fortunately and unfortunately!) will not have time to make many more changes before spring as we are booked up through March! We continue to add to the to-do list and have some exciting upgrades up our sleeves!

Celebrating Winter Solstice!🌙

As the longest night of the year unfolds, we're dreaming of our next trip up north. After the New Year, we'll be introducing our family from across the pond to Trailside Lodge, as well as working on some exciting projects at the house.

This winter has already been a roller coaster on the snow front. We have gained and lost over a foot at the house but are keeping our fingers and toes crossed for more snow soon! ❄️

While winter is in full swing up in Pittsburg, we are pumped to introduce our sunny sister property, Ocean’s Edge in Galveston Texas! This is already a beautiful beach front home, and we cannot wait to make it an even greater place to make memories!

This week’s focus was on getting organized so we can make some major improvements over the next few months. First up is the addition of a hot tub/soaker pool & utilizing the yard to create a really fun outdoor hang out space for families.

We can’t wait to start sharing our before and after photos throughout this journey!

Unless you’re game for our new Game Table! From classics to new favorites, there’s something for everyone. It’s perfect for a rainy day in Pittsburg or when you’re enjoying drinks at the end of the night. Plus, it’s our newest obsession, and we’re pretty sure you’ll love it too. But, if you’re playing Monopoly, keep in mind that flipping the table is not an option. 😉

Our first project is Trailside Lodge in Pittsburg. We purchased a home that was previously a successful rental and have been focusing on putting our own touch on it while maintaining the aspects previously loved by its guests.

We recently updated some of the beds (the rest to follow) and the bedding, as well as adding a game area and couch in the loft.

Things that won’t change are the (invaluable) boot warmer under the stairs, the incredibly well stocked kitchen (other than becoming more well stocked!), and the peaceful setting around the firepit & grill.

We are looking forward to our first winter season and thinking snow! ❄️☃️
