“7-day/6-night (5 hunt days/2 travel days) 1x1 MacNab Challenge for one hunter in Scotland - includes trophy fees for 1x stag scoring up to 12 points, 2x grouse (red, black or ptarmigan) and 1x salmon. The challenge is simple, but very tall; land a salmon, put two grouse in the bag and take a red stag off the hill, all between dawn and dusk on the same day. Success requires planning, perseverance, fitness, skill, and a healthy dose of luck. It is a truly unique blend of camaraderie, collaboration and solitude. There is no guarantee of success, but there is a guarantee of challenge and adventure. This hunt is available September 14-20, 2025 only and may be upgraded to include species at current price list.”

And that, as they say, is a wrap. We had an excellent week, loads of success in the hills and the moors with red stag, roe deer, and red grouse in the bag and on the table. 

But the weather gods were not with us and the salmon were not playing the game. That is why it is a challenge...if it was easy it would not carry so much worth.  

A big thank you to both of teams of sportsmen, the keepers, stalkers, ghillies, cooks, housekeepers and staff who make this endeavor possible! 

On to next year, who’s up for the challenge??
