Like with most dishes, kartoffelklöße have some differences depending on the region (and, regionally, may be referred to as kartoffelklöße). Made from a mix of starchy potatoes, starch (often potato starch), eggs, and ground nutmeg and topped with buttery bread crumbs, these pillowy, dense dumplings are the perfect accompaniment to soak up saucy dishes!
