As a Maui Event Planner, I get to experience it at every party. As a resident of Maui and of the World, I really try to embody it and hope that it’s contagious. Join me and my agricultural friends this Friday 12 noon to 4pm++ & Saturday 9 am-4 pm at at the convention. I’ll be serving up my ʻulu/kalo burgers with homemade poi buns, Molokai sweet potato poke, Maui County bounty salads featuring all local ingredients including chicken. I’ll also have an ʻulu chocolate mousse and my fan favorite carrot hot dogs. I have gluten free and vegan bread options for both burgers and carrot dogs.
This is a FREE community event featuring local food, cultural activities, inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, and more.

● Mahiʻai Mākeke o ka Pō Friday Night Market, FREE Concert, Film Screening & Makahiki Games: Kick-off the weekend with traditional Makahiki Games, a community concert by hometown favorites “Homestead,” a lively night market from 5-9, and an evening screening of documentary Common Ground.

Come see me at the Seed To Cup Festival this Sunday 9am-4pm at the Maui Tropical Plantation ! I’ll be serving ʻUlu/Kalo burgers on my homemade poi espresso burger buns using Aloha Poi. I’ll also have my awesome salads with Kumu Farms greens, Oko'a Farms watermelon radishes and Kahanu Aina sunflower sprouts. Lastly, I’ll be serving sweet potato poke and hibiscus lemonade.
Live music all day and lots of cool exhibits and coffee tastings.

Super fun time getting to taste the sneak peeks of the new “Shave Ice Flights” from @ululanishawaiianshaveice last night. Really creative idea, great packaging and awesome new flavor combos including my favorite, ‘Crack Seed Store’, designed by @hello.__.emi . Another cool thing they’ve done is to offer sugar free syrups including the @ekolumusic special which is also dairy free! We also got to sample the delicious smash burgers by the newly opened @velzylandburgerco who make their own potato buns which are so pillowy, and they are using all local beef by @mauiohanameats . New menu items will roll out in all stores within the next month. Mahalo nui David & Ululani for inviting us. Fun times at the @mauicollegeculinary where I presented an ʻuala poke demonstration. This was a part of the “Gardens as Healing & Nourishing Spaces” in partnership with Chef Hui HI , Grow Some Good, Hawai’i Farm to School Hui, PATCH Hawaii, and @uhmaui Kauluwehi Biocultural garden. Everyone made their own personalized poke bowl while I explained the nutritional benefits of ʻuala, limu ogo and ʻākulikuli. Mahalo to Becky Speere for hosting a fascinating #misomaking class with Chef Nicot, @hawaii_koji . We learned all about koji and how to make miso with both soybeans as well as all the other ingredients we could use. I made my own batch with Mana Ulu kalo. Now to wait at least six months to taste.
