Donald the Knight is an African American male in elementary school.

Like millions of children his age. he is attempting to navigate his environment while staying true to his Christian beliefs. His superpower is his ability to represent Christ through his daily lifestyle at an age where many of his peers are embarrassed or too afraid. The theme of being a Knight refers to the concept of living with honor and integrity when it is not the popular thing to do.

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Is the title of the first book from our 3-part series. Donald is being bullied at school during recess by some of his peers for being slim and physically underdeveloped. Once home from school. his mother reminds him that he is made in the image of God and that he must find his identity in that reality. (Psalm 139)

As you prepare for this week I hope you're making plans for what's ahead and being courageous, believing that you can face every moment that you're given. As you prepare, give everything over to Jesus in prayer. Every calendar event, ambition, hope, and fear just give it to Him. If you know Him, you know he has already promised you grace. So don't worry about how the week will go and get caught up in your abilities. That's self-reliance. Rather, I hope you get really clear and focused on what you're being asked to do and give it your all - walk boldly in His grace and see the beauty of each moment.
