NBCH-Hike at Tomales Bay State Park, July 20, 2024

On Saturday, July 20, six of us did an 8 mile round trip hike at Tomales Bay State Park between Heart's Desire Beach and Shell Beach. It was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, and we were blessed by the beauty of God's creation and the pleasure of each other's company. We thank God for using North Bay Christian Hikers as a way to bring people together in friendship and fellowship.

NBCH-Hike At Angel Island. June 29, 2024

On Saturday, June 29, we had a great time hiking on Angel Island with Larry, our good friend and former NBCH leader, who recently moved to Florida. We hiked to the top of Angel Island and around it, visiting historical sites along the way. It was a beautiful day to be in the bay. We thank God for the friendship and fellowship, as well as the beauty of creation, that we are blessed with on a regular basis.

The Hike at Trione-Annadel State Park scheduled for this Saturday, July 6, has been cancelled due to extreme heat. The hike will be rescheduled. Please stay as cool as possible during this heat wave and have a Happy 4th of July. We look forward to hiking with you again soon. Take care and God bless!

NBCH - Hike on Mt Tam: Rock Springs to East Peak

On Saturday, June 15, seven hikers did a 7-8 mile round trip hike on Mt Tamalpais from Rock Springs to East Peak. It was a beautiful day with hot but clear weather. Much of the hike was uphill, but with the encouragement and support of each other, we all made it to the top of the mountain. With God's help, and the help of those he puts in our lives, we can do amazing things. Thank God and the people He provides, who help us climb the mountains that life puts in front of us.

On Saturday, June 29, NBCH will be hiking at Angel Island State Park. We will take the 10:00 am ferry from Tiburon, hike to the top of the island, and hike around it, visiting historical sites along the way. As a special bonus, Larry will be visiting SF next weekend and will be joining us on this hike. More details to follow.

NBCH-Hike At Pt Reyes: Laguna Trailhead to Sculptured Beach

Two weeks ago, On Saturday, May 25, eight members of NBCH did a 7-8 mile round trip hike at Point Reyes from the Laguna Trailhead to Sculptured Beach. As always, we had a great time hiking together at one of our favorite places. We thank God for the friendship and the fellowship that these hikes have provided for the past 23 years.

NBCH-Hike At Sonoma Coast State Park, Shell Beach-Red Hill Loop

On Saturday, May 11, we hiked a total of 7.5 miles at the Sonoma Coast State Park, south of Jenner. After doing a 5 mile loop along the Pomo Canyon and Red Hill Trails, we hiked an additional 2.5 miles on the Kortum Trail along the coast. Although the weather wasn't perfect and the Russian River was covered in clouds, the four of us had a great time hiking together. We are blessed by the time we spend with each other on our hikes , as well as by the beauty we experience along the trails.

On Saturday, April 27, we enjoyed an amazing hike from Fort Baker through the Marin headlands to Sausalito. God blessed us with perfect weather and a great group of hikers. We thank Him for giving us the ability to hike together through his beautiful creation.

NBCH-Hike At Helen Putnam Regional Park, Petaluma, March 30, 2024

On Saturday, March 30, nine of us did a 5 mile round trip hike in downtown Petaluma and through Helen Putnam Regional Park. It was a beautiful day and we were fortunate to get a break in the rain. We thank God for this beautiful creation and for giving us another opportunity to hike together.

Happy Easter!

Wishing you a Peaceful & Joyous Easter!

"Christ has risen! He has risen indeed! Let us rejoice! Alleluia!"

Just as God rolled away the stone over the tomb of Jesus, may He also roll away the stones holding whatever currently troubles you in this life.

May this Easter bring "new life," refreshment and hope to all of you. Let the Lord know this Easter how much you appreciate His gift of eternal life, and the forgiveness of your sins, through His son, Jesus Christ.

May you experience a little of that "refreshment" by joining us on our NBCH hikes this year.

On Saturday, March 9, Larry led our group of 17 hikers on an approximately 5 mile round trip hike in the Marin Headlands from Rodeo Beach to the Point Bonita Lighthouse. We enjoyed spectacular views and each other's company along the way. We thank Larry for leading us on one more hike before he headed to a new adventure in Florida. He will be greatly missed on our hikes, but we will still keep in touch and our friendship will continue. We also thank God for this beautiful day and the people He brought together to enjoy it.

On Saturday, February 24, seven hikers began our hike from Rock Springs on Mt Tamalpais along the Cataract Falls Trail. Two of the hikers (Kathy & Mike) hiked part of the way and did a four mile round trip hike. The other five hikers made it down to Alpine Lake and back up again for a six mile round trip hike. This was the first time that NBCH has done this hike in almost four years. Although the hike is relatively short, the elevation gain coming back up makes it strenuous. We thank God for this beautiful day, and for our hiking companions who bless us with their friendship and support along the trails.
