Paris—there are the highlights, no explanation needed. And then there are the lo-lights, as in local. All those things everyone says they want to experience but never quite know where or how. Experiencing local Paris, like a local. That's my expertise. So, what are you waiting for?
We had a fabulous time in Paris in March! Curious about the kinds of things we see and do? Here's a glimpse. Won't you come, too?
With @parisoffscript we find the magic!
Le jour d'arrivé, arrival day: Paris is gray and chilly. Perfect for le petit-déjeuner in a cozy spot with un café allongé, a still-warm croissant, and a view of the Paris Marathon!
CAPITALE(S): Superb expo that tells the story of urban art in Paris. Vibrant, creative, colorful, and cutting edge, street art is an indelible part of the Paris landscape.
In Paris, and in France for that matter, there's an unusual "off script" counterpart for everything "on script." I love the unexpected and am an expert in seeking out and finding interesting lesser known things, whether it's a bookstore or one of France's Grand Sites. The Dune du Pilat is nearly 3km long and, at 106m above sea level, the tallest in Europe. You can experience it with my Paris Off Script–Rouge Bordeaux joint adventure in April 2023! Palais Garnier's other stage, where there's almost always a crowd sunning on the steps and someone performing. But love, love, love the guy dancing!
Delicious fun at the Salon du Chocolat!
Strolling on a Saturday, intending to eat at home before going out later in the evening, but then hearing music… Reader, I went in. And in this teeny, tiny friendly place, was serenaded while eating fresh, delicious bó bun. Sublime!
On a beautiful warm and sunny autumn afternoon in Paris!

I take photos and short videos of unusual things that catch my eye all the time, never knowing if I'll use them. Who knew we'd all be marching to a different drummer now.
